Honestly 8-4 would be considered a let down this year, theres not a likely scenario where we lose a non conference game, if we do then that’d be a real disappointment, and honestly 4-4 in conference play would be disappointing too. I think 9-3 and 10-2 is a reasonable floor/ceiling

Hated the RESULTS against Wuerffel, but he was the antithesis of his coach imo. Never heard a quote or glimpsed a disrespectful gesture from him.

We turned on to "Wuerffel Drive" somewhere vaguely near Destin last year, and started (fake) shrieking "We have to get off this road." But I don't disagree with what you say about him. (Don't even know if it was the same Wuerffel.)

We used and abused Danny Wuerffel. I remember thinking he was simply not going to get up given how much we'd hit him and hard but he always managed to. I have no idea how he put up the numbers he did with the abuse he took. Those OLs were bad and Spurrier was willing to sacrifice his QB's health to keep throwing.

I get that, and it is true to some degree. But at the end of the day, we’ve had the same S&C coach for three years and have had time to build depth. Either way, if we do go 8-4 or worse it will really kill the momentum we have, but hopefully we won’t have to worry about it

This absolutism is f'n stupid. It all depends on the situation as it happens, and S&C stability doesn't have a damn thing to do with pure bad luck.

This roster is still thin and underwhelming at many spots, and the OL is a couple of big injuries from being a sieve.

Have to consider injuries and how many and when. Of course it would be disappointing to have that many effect games.

It's so dumb that people just totally blow off the major effects that just a few bad key injuries could have on this season...we are NOT UGA and Bama..we do NOT have elite talent stacked up like cordwood.

High temp here in Fort Worth is 107 again today. I think we are now at 32 days over 100 this year. I would not want to wear football pads this summer.

I think we are actually way below normal avg June, July and August temps in this area.

I think maybe they’re young and don’t realize how crazy things happen like Peyton/Memphis or Hooker/SC. We have a lot to be excited about. But there are a lot of things that can happen especially when you don’t have that stacked roster that takes a few years to build. We’re just getting started.

I hated Danny because I hate Florida, but I respected the hell out of him...he was a warrior with lot of heart like Bryce Young. We beat the living out of that boy and he just kept on getting up and throwing dimes as he was getting obliterated l...over and over and over..

Ok...but until they do something, it is just a blind assumption to EXPECT good to great play from them this year...excuse me if I don't assume it until I actually see it with my own eyes.

I EXPECT Spraggins and Cooper (if he can even stay on the field) to hold up against ANYBODY...I have no expectations/assumptions for anything more than just solid play from the rest of the OL until I see them stonewalling good SEC defenses.

Edit: Ok, Sir Callahad amended the strong talk. They are young on the line.

Will definitely be sad for Joe if he ends up dealing with poor pass pro. He, moreso than HH, really needs it for this offense to execute as it would prefer. Now...I think it'd be fine regardless, but maybe not elite and more susceptible vs the big dogs.

Unfortunately OL recruiting post-Trey/Cade just hasn't been there. Thank goodness that is coming to an end rn. Also hurts if transfers don't hit, which is a roll of the dice ofc.

But my faith with OL coaching will remain high until proven otherwise, though even the best get dealt bad hands sometimes.

We went a decade peaking at 8-4 and, in just 2 years, it's become a massive failure

Thank god for Heupel and increased expectations. But also, damn those that make it out to be make or break lmao
