Hmm…I do the science thing for a living and I can muddy the waters here because there is no such thing as irrefutable empirical evidence. Science is a methodologically constrained means to constantly update and refine our limited and provisional understanding of the material manifestation of phenomena, not a means to final truth.
Now back to football…would it be awesome if we landed Nwaneri? Aren’t we stoked about our new found depth on defense? Is local media overblowing the o-line concerns? Will Milton win the Heisman?
Exactly! Last year I had a family reunion(My aunt, who is a big Tennessee fan, thought it was okay since TN played on Thursday. What? The first day of college football in months???)…..wedding shower…..a wedding (AL game…I did not feel good. I didn’t. I was a nervous wreck.)……..birthday party (grandson’s. UTM. Had to miss the 2nd half.)……and then there were all the football games to see my granddaughter cheer (an hour away! And she didn’t even enjoy it!).
Tbf, last year and the 12 top teams, across all 3 major polls, by Dec 4th, if this is our metric for "deserving":The SEC last year deserved 4 teams. The Big 10 deserved 2.
Mine seem to be back also. Probably Saban's doing again.Occasionally. But many times if I click on the "not available" line, it takes me to twitter where the tweet opens. Here's an example of that: #508. (Edit: soon after I linked that, the tweet appeared. But it was unavailable earlier and on my first try using the link I left you.) Click the "unavailable" link and see if it works.
My frustration is that unless one pays, apparently, he can no longer sees the replies or click to see the tweeter's main page, etc.
The only sport's argument I've read that seemed to hold water was boxing. And it was based on volume of matches and the art of boxing dying off and being lost.Doug atkins didn’t play in the 1920’s. Sorry if you’re too stupid to realize that the the athletes of the 1920’s don’t match up with the athletes in the 1960’s. Just like the athletes in the 1960’s don’t match up with the athletes in todays games.
I can’t begin to count the number of games that I had to record because of Scouts, dance, Fall baseball, dance, etc. I would not trade those memories for watching the games live at all.
I would trade the friends who would ruin the recorded results after I spent all day or weekend avoiding any sports news so that I could watch the game as if it was live.
We were on a Canoeing and kayaking Scout camp out when Tennessee beat the gators (butch was coach). I had no cell service all day, then right at halftime, I got cell service and started checking the score (couldn’t help myself) I sat in my tent because I was sacred to move because I might lose my cell service again. Everyone in the campsite knew that the Vols were mounting the comeback win!
Leave no doubt
15-0
One note on freshman Chandavian Bradley – he’s lightyears away from helping this football team but he might be the quickest guy in the room. He’s got some great speed off the edge and that will be his strength as a college football player. He does need to get stronger as when a lineman gets his hands on him, he’s usually controlled. Bradley has some really good promise but will need to continue to progress and get adapted like all freshmen do.
Knowledge has increased over time, yet, there are still avenues to be explored. I read once that Humans use less than 20% of their brain.
My ignore list alone is full of humans who it’s doubtful that they use 2% of their brains and absolutely nowhere near 20%…
You read correctly. 15% or less actually.
Yeah, I think the NCAA is breaking the enforcement rules for Michigan, and letting Michigan cheat with impunity, so Harbaugh can leave with the false impression that this and much more never happened.Source: Jim Harbaugh's suspension deal with NCAA breaks down; he's now expected to coach full 2023 season
Bad news for Michigan fans in a round about way.
By not taking that deal, he is signaling that he has no intention of coaching college ball in 2024 IMO.
Even if you take an extremely optimistic stance on what the NCAA can or will do, there is no way a long drawn out investigation is better than sitting out 4 games against some nobodies. Then again, their entire schedule is nobodies outside of the last game so...
@SweetasSoda Click here: 1. For LBs, see especially the 6th and 7th paragraphs of the second quoted writer, p. brown.Whew sounds like Carter and Telander are going to be some big time players. Glowing remarks about LB group as a whole in the fingers thread.
