It was hot yesterday. Went to that lowrider show. They had some cool stuff there. . . more than what I thought. A 2jz hks Supra, a couple jacked up trucks, a few classic lowriders, mustang and camaro lowriders, a Ford Ranger GT with a Supercharged 331. An idiot UGA fan with a lowered Corvette. . . painted UT colors (i guess its a wrap?). . . and several redneck lowriders. . .



My favorite was probably this classic lowered truck. It was really clean, you could tell a lot of time and money went into it. I was looking at it and he popped the hood. . . I nearly p-p-p-pissed my pants with what he has for an engine. Its on the cover of this months magazine for lowriders, can't remember the name. . . not Mini-Truckin' though.

My son is very close to Ty and his family. Great kid and family. He’s not an all SEC caliber QB but he his a solid QB. Alabama has more than enough talent around him to win ball games.
Saying that if Ty was the QB last year they lose Texas-Tennessee-LSU by two touchdowns each easily.

My son is very close to Ty and his family. Great kid and family. He’s not an all SEC caliber QB but he his a solid QB. Alabama has more than enough talent around him to win ball games.

Yep. I don't think that Bama is going to be a bad team this year by any means, but they are not going to be the all dominating force that they were just a few years back. I think they are going to lose a couple games a year going forward until Saban retires. Mostly because other teams are much better, but also because there is just something less intimidating about them the last couple of years. Bryce Young and Jamyr Gibbs carried them across several finish lines last year and no offense to Ty, but he ain't Bryce Young level.

Our game against Alabama last year would've been a blowout if they didn't have Bryce Young. That guy was a miracle worker and made so many unbelievable plays in that game. Alabama might've lost 4 games without him...and I'm not sure you can point to one individual player being that important to any Alabama team under Saban.

I think the older Saban gets, the harder it is for him to micro-manage every aspect of his program like he used to. We've been seeing them make more and more mistakes over the last few seasons that Saban teams would never make...and it has gotten worse each season.

A better question is….. would todays players be tough enough to play in the 1920’s?

Babe was knocked unconscious and finished a double header… an Indians player was struck by lightning… woke up and finished the game.

There would be no jet travel.
No whirlpool baths after the game.
No special diet regimen
No special training equipment to help with your game.
Baseball wasn’t protecting the players…. Getting hit, spiked, ran over was considered part of the game.


Today…. Some players sit out due to sleeping under an air conditioner wrong.

Surprisingly, only one player ever died from an injury received during a game. Ray Chapman. In 1920 he got beaned in the head during a game and died several hours later.

Occasionally. But many times if I click on the "not available" line, it takes me to twitter where the tweet opens. Here's an example of that: #508. (Edit: soon after I linked that, the tweet appeared. But it was unavailable earlier and on my first try using the link I left you.) Click the "unavailable" link and see if it works.

My frustration is that unless one pays, apparently, he can no longer sees the replies or click to see the tweeter's main page, etc.

That's my frustration also. I don't have the X so I can see the replies
