Do any of you have false memories or memories that aren't the same as what really happened, but you were certain you were correct?

I picked up some tickets for an out of state fan a few years ago, to help save them some time and stress. They met me to pick up the tickets the morning of the game and had their kid with them. It was the kid's first game.

I was absolutely certain the kid was a boy, but it was actually a dog. . . 😆 Really, it was actually his daughter. I was absolutely certain and would've sworn it was a little boy with him. The girl doesn't even look like a Tomboy, just a regular little girl. So weird.
My husband and I do this all of the time.. we met in 1996 and obviously have a lot of shared memories, but we remember a lot of things differently 😂

Basilio dropping some 100% accurate nuggets:

  • OL is a greater concern than the coaches are revealing to the public.
  • The coaches have noticed there are not many “whiffs” on the new guys. Recruiting evals were accurate which leads to the next point.
  • Coaches feel that the younger guys will contribute on defense as the season progresses. (Sounds like he’s hinting at the secondary).
Milton’s legs will need to be a factor

I don’t see how the OL could be such a concern. Miami transfer locked down LT early in fall practice over last year’s starting LT platoon. One of those guys will be starting RT. Spraggins and Mays both have tons of experience. Surely one guy on the roster is serviceable at LG.
We’re fine. They have to have some negativity in order to get clicks. Injuries have limited some but the OL is going to be fine. But we don’t need any further injuries and could use Mays by UF.

Both offensive tackles are question marks heading into the season. That is how it could be a concern.

LG is obviously unsettled. Expected Mincey to have RT on lockdown. Not sure if he’s working at LT because of lack of depth or because no one is solidly winning the RT job.

I am worried about OL.

If the QB in this offense doesn't have time, it doesn't work.

Milton took a few sacks vs Clemson because he didn’t run when he should have. He could even throw it away but just held on too long. It can improve but definitely a concern.

It doesn’t sound like that is the case is what he’s saying.

I think just the fact that we lost DW and carvin is impactful, two multi year starters including a top 10 draft pick that essentially made the pass rush from the right side not a worry at all in the QBs mind. To me reports sound like we have a lot of guys that are “serviceable” and will rotate at guards and center and right tackle, kind of a “by committee” approach. That means our OL as a whole unit might be less effective than last year, but to what extent is that noticeable in the offense’s outputs, and that effectiveness becomes a real concern if we start losing guys to injury. All a bunch of maybes and ifs, won’t really know until we see it on the field. Good news is Campbell looks good at LT so as long as he’s healthy that’s a big piece to maintaining good protection for Joe - which he’ll need if he’s going to have the year we’re all hoping for.

So, "accurate" is a statement that compares two known things. How are you judging the "accuracy" here? Especially on point 1, that self-identifies as private knowledge. Are you not just part of the public, or are you an insider? Same for points 2-3. What public info is there out there to collaborate Basillio?
