Nobody...nobody...was doing steroids to the level that Nebraska was. It was the CFB equivalent of what Barry Bonds did on a team wide scale. If a "Bozo button" is back to back national championships, with a combined record of 25-0, with combined scores of 1,097 points scored and 336 points given up, I'm sure they'll gladly wear the red nose and honk for you.
Also, if you think those back-in-the-day Miami teams, or those back-in-the-day Oklahoma teams, or those FSU teams weren't on the tip of a needle, well...i'll just say, I disagree.
If other teams with even more natural talent and also good staffs were also doing it at the program-wide industrial level that Nebraska was..then they would not have been bulldozing EVERYONE they played.Who didn't see it? Multiple people, including me, have rightly agreed with you about Nebraska and steroids. What's obvious, is that YOU didn't see it going on at other places.
for a 53" wide horizontal space, a 60.8" diagonal would fit barely. That is to the outside of the tv box though, so it depends on the bezels of the tv. If the bezels are super thin, a 60" tv will fit. If not, you'll have to go down to 55"What is the max size TV I can fit above a 53” wide exterior fireplace?
I’m calling it now. Carlos will be the next Voice of the Vols. Think of it. The originality will be off the charts. “Vamos Vols” will be the next generation’s “give him six.” You can’t recreate John Ward so why not go with originality? He has it in spades.
So your saying they had a superior S&C program than everybody else!Nobody was doing roids to the industrial institutional level that the Cornroiders were...it was obvious just looking at them. They were no more talented than 10 other teams at any given time...they just juiced them all into superstars.
If you wanna give them a Bozo button for figuring out that you could take multiple walk-ons, add Steroids and POOF turn them into All-Americans...then that's your choice.
I think they were a well coached team that steroids made infinitely better....without them they were still a very good team imo, but not the bulldozer that their institutional steroid program MADE them.
Sure every team had guys on the juice...but NO other program institutionalized it's use in their S&C program like Nebraska did.
Sounds like me trying to angle for sugar from the mrs. When I was 16 working my first retail job, I tried to shake a dude's hand who was not trying to shake my hand. He was just gesturing a bit while I was talking to him, and I thought he wanted to shake hands, so I went for it (I was already nervous interacting with the public anyway).
I'll never forget the mixture of horror, disgust, and secondhand embarrassment on his face.
If not for that damn Rose Bowl, my vote would be for the 1939 Tennessee Volunteers coached by General Robert Neyland. Not a single score allowed during the regular season. When it comes to the greatest team ever, I'm always taking the 98 Vols! Never seen a team that was as destined to win it all as them. I don't care what team in history would be on the other sideline. That 98 team, and that defense especially, would find a way to win every single time even without the biggest weapon on offense.
