Across several games, we have shown the ability to play our best basketball for an extended period. Sometimes 20-30 minutes. Hopefully by March we can make that 35+ minutes, maybe 40 minutes.

The team scared me today, but I'm very confident in this team. I was reluctantly confident of all of Bruce's teams, disappointed in Cuonzo's teams. Mesmerized by the early Barnes tenure (Williams/Schofield). I think that this team is the best of a lot of good teams that we've had.

We already have gotten some help from the portal. Makes sense really to see who all enters after bowl games unless someone falls in their lap that is a have to take.
I mean, I've seen a couple of DBs out there that I really hoped we were after. All year, all I've heard people say is our secondary is bad because of lack of talent. Now, we have a chance to improve on that and we're standing pat? That's frustrating.

Those of us who have been critical of Banks and Martinez this season have constantly been told they just don't have the talent to work with. If they're happy with who they have and don't look to improve, that excuse vanishes IMO.

Awful for his family, Hail State, and cfb, in general. He won consistently at places where it ain't easy to do so. I remember the madness in 2017 when Curry was flying to Cali to meet/sign him. I could hardly sleep that night. Then I was absolutely bummed the next day when we found out ot wasn't happening. Although, the ppl on the Hill, and WNML hosts said it was best for TN, we didn't hire him. I wasn't so sure. Ecstatic we have Heup, but it makes you wonder how he would have done here. Going to miss the random tangents at his pressers and Twitter.

So we're not looking at the portal to fix all of our other deficiencies? That would suck if we're not.

We are looking at the portal. But there will be more guys enter after the bowl games and after spring practice. Coaches can find opportunities in the spring window, too. They're taking their time and looking for right-fit guys, not just the bigger names. If they're uncertain about fit or think there's someone better, they're holding off on taking the commitment.

Assuming he doesn't make it, I feel bad for Mike Leach's family. I feel bad for any family when they lose someone they love. I've known that pain far too much in life. It absolutely sucks.
I lost my grandfather, my father, and my father-in-law to heart attacks. Just got a phone call that they were already gone, every time. No closure. There's no best way to lose someone, but Mike going this way is really tough for his family I'm sure.

I'm not sure that's a civilian solution. However, there are definitely sources that are stigmatized bc of aesthetics, neighborhood rules: solar, personal hydroelectric energy, wind.

Sadly, cost of going green is also big business, and costly.
Why? Nuclear is the ONLY viable way out of this mess unless/until fusion ever becomes reality.

The f'n green freaks are killing poor/low middle class.

On the Leach note, I have to take a minute and tell all of the ICU nurses and people that work in that area how much you’re appreciated. It isn’t easy dealing with tough situations like that with people passing, calling families and handling all of that. I’ve always had a great appreciation for those people and their jobs.

I'm curious, is there any feeling whatsoever amongst the staff that they need to do a better job recruiting? And I don't mean for that to sound derogatory. I love the class we currently have, but we can still improve so much. I get the whole culture and fit argument, and I'm not against it, but we have to improve at certain positions. Our secondary played horrible most of the year. We're losing key contributors at LB. It's hard for me to imagine there isn't some sense of urgency. The "we're gonna wait" talk seems like a way to set us up on missing out. I really hope our coaches don't let opportunity pass us by.

Losing my dad was the hardest thing I've ever gone through, and I'm still not really through it 6 years later.

Man...this team is racking up top 15 wins and without some of our best 👀 👀

That is nuts.
"Yeah...but Rick Barnes sucks and we will never win anything that matters with that high paid clown that calls himself a "basketball" coach...the dumb fool just sits on his hands when the other team makes a run and he always just bends over and tells the refs "Thank you sir, may I have another!"..."

The NegaRicks are a bunch of freaking idiots...Rick Barnes is a blessing to our program, and I'm so thankful he fell into our lap.

We've not played with a full roster yet. Missing James and Aidoo big today, as well as Uros staying in foul trouble. Even then, if they made their free-throws and easy layups, today's game isn't close.
