I thought Cobb's issue was cocaine.

As for recreational drugs... punishments vary. If you fail an NCAA test, the uni has to follow NCAA rules on that. If you fail an internal test, each school follows whatever drug policy they have in place (it's usually wayyy lighter than NCAA polices). That said, recreational drugs should be treated differently than performance enhancers. The policies we have now are stupid as hell but they're based on the insane "war on drugs" mentality and the policies and laws that we refuse to give up (thankfully we can see a very slow change happening on that front but it's still very slow).
How many games did Ricky Williams miss before setting the record for rushing yards and taking home the Heisman? Or is it he didn’t partake of the herb during four years in AUSTIN, TEXAS? Coaches always had a say in how they handled potheads and that’s why I brought Majors and Fulmer’s examples during the subject of CHEATING. Whether they SHOULD or not is moot. It’s still ILLEGAL and glossing over the policy to maintain your stars is CHEATING. So the fact that they held solid in that policy makes me more confident they weren’t running their own BALCO in Knoxville.

You're totally bypassing the point. TRYING and not succeeding does not equal cheating. Bonds has the homerun records because he SUCCEEDED. INTENT doesn't qualify. And that he utilized the Clear to hide his usage adds to the crime.
So where do you draw the line? If an athlete tries to bet on his team but he doesn’t place the bet in time, is he still innocent? If a batter throws his bat at the pitcher and misses, I guess it’s cool bc he didn’t succeed? Pitchers and hitters were both using during the “steroid era”. Just throw an asterisk on it and move on.

Preseason NFL sucks, if Goodell gets his way NFL teams will be playing 18 regular season games and maybe 2 preseason. What about rookies trying to make the team? Well by week 3 of preseason the coaches have it narrowed down to the last couple they might want to keep can always put them on practice squad!!!

I remember steve irwin going into mountains of VA, looking for Timber Rattlers. He found snake ball after snake ball. Hundreds of Timber Rattlers cling together.

Its on YT if yens feel compelled.

I saw that show. As he was squatting and talking into camera, he heard rattles directly below him extremely close to his privates.

One of the few times I saw him scared!

If you don’t place a bet (for whatever reason)…what’s the infraction? I “draw the line” on what actually HAPPENED. And throwing a bat is a physical ACT…it’s not mulling it over.

And you’re lumping a LOT of players together by saying they ALL did it. Maddux set records and was never implicated and never reached 90 on the radar gun. Griffey had a natural career arc…he didn’t get BETTER as he approached 35. Throwing an asterisk is coward sauce.

Kicking that golden goose to get more gold out it til you rupture it’s stomach.

Clayton Kershaw first ballot HOF or not 3 Cy Young's , 1 N.L.MVP and a most dominant pitcher in a 10 year span.... I'm biased no doubt to me should get 100% of votes but nobody does....

I think it was LaMarcus Coker that you were referring to earlier.

Says something when a guy, who lived in a Country with snakes that have very little response rates to venom, is scared.

Rattlers arent near as poisonous as taipan, browns, kraits. But most notable, Death Adders.

Lol!

Still hashing out the details on my trip to Dennis Cove. :D
What you need to know? My broke ass has been to Frog Level. Hell, my step Mom is from Gap Creek. Lets just say with her and her sisters in the car, we can drive up to any trailer, and not get shot.

Salt of the Earth. But dont go down any unpaved hollers.
