There have to be other rule changes right? On a first down, the clock only stopped for 5 or so seconds while the chains reset, that can't have so drastic an effect on number of plays right?

Just read that they expected 7 fewer plays per game because of the rule change. So far, they way way underestimated. Curious to see the week 1 average plays per game this year vs last year.

First time it thwarts a comeback attempt by Bama or UGA, you’ll hear it’s death knell. I expect Heupel to benefit from it. We score our points early…less time to run off.

Ya it really hurts teams who get behind early. You'll see much fewer comebacks with 40 fewer plays per game. I bet the percentage of teams who are ahead at halftime and go on to win will increase.

Here is the best resource I’ve found. It shows last years average for each team too. I think we need a little more data before we draw any conclusions.

Dooley would be screwed with that rule change…. He would call a timeout to set up a play…. Not put enough players on the field and have to call another timeout.

Heupel usually had timeouts to spare at the half or end of the game…if not ALL of them. He might have to use one to add to a lead. Other coaches, like the geezer in red, like to utilize them to calm down after a ref dares call it the wrong way or other psychological crap, might need one they no longer have.

For a second, I thought the 13 year old was dating the 27 year old. Then, I realized you wouldn't be struggling, you would be shooting. In any event, you can counsel, and she would be wise to listen, but not sure what else you can do. I hope it works out for the very best.

I can see where you thought that - he’d be no longer walking this earth if that were true.

Counseling hasn’t helped - she’s “an adult mom!” and is also very stubborn…and I don’t want to argue when we’re together. Sigh… I want her to be happy but this is just hard for me to accept…Anyway - thank you.

Not tried Hulu but have had youtube tv for several years. As long as you have cable internet you will like it. Unlimited DVR is my favorite part. I just record all NCAA games since don't have to worry about storage. Usually offer a free 7 day trial.
