Way too early for a consensus but still interesting:

My question is… do less plays per game help or hurt Tennessee? I’m genuinely not sure
Well it would certainly hurt the other team as well. But, fortunately in this exciting new rebirth and energy in a stagnant sport, someone found a way to let that angry midget have his way. Back to running the ball again and clock control

I agree it should benefit us more than hurts us, just gotta keep starting fast. Less time and possessions for the opponent to catch up. Just hate that it takes real-time away from the actual sport we only get 13-14 weekends out of the year.
More possessions helps us.

Part of why we go fast.

We have a possession-per-possession advantage over most teams and want to maximize that. It also decreases variance/luck.

Really the only kind of game we'd want fewer possessions for both teams is if we're a sizeable underdog and want to increase variance.

Yeah waste that time until you run out of it. Without Bryce Young keeping somewhat of a pace last season, the Vols win by 4 tds.

Fewer plays/possessions is like poker with variance

The greatest player in the world can get beat in any given single hand vs the worst players. Maybe even over a short period of time...10 or 15 minutes. But give the pro an hour...a day...a month...and the pro will win 100% of the time.

Speaking of whch, I know I already posted my Byron Young days to kickoff photos, but I have to post him Jimmy Holiday with his Bama-win cigar.

Correction: Jimmy Holiday, but let the photo stand because 6 Days until kickoff and a great photo, and the cigar. And I always rooted for Holiday. Hope he does well with Helton at WKU. Also his long TD pass from Milton last year is forever!

We seem to score at a very high clip in the 1st quarter, specifically the first couple of drives. I don't think the rule change will affect us much, but if it does, it will be ever so slightly beneficial imo.
Also a fair point. If we can keep being the 1st quarter boiz then we shall continue to ride untethered henceforth.

Time of possession was always a minor inconvenience. Now we’ll have both the offense and defense yelling at the other to get the ball back. 😎

Thinking of getting rid of Direct TV and switching to YouTubeTV or Hulu Live? Which one do yall like better? I'm leaning to YoutubeTV.

Just ditched DirecTV and got Youtube TV. We're happy so far.

I do miss not being able to enter a channel number. Searching or scrolling is a pain, but once you use a channel it shows up in recent lists.

I heard on the radio earlier today that he is the projected starter for the Rams this season. Not a Rams fan but I hope he has a great season.

I’m not either. However I’ll make a case for optimism. If we score really fast, does the change hurt other teams from trying to keep up?

Lol! He isn’t the father of the 13 year old if that’s what you’re thinking! She’s been divorced for about 8 years…she’s now calling the young fella her boyfriend and I just don’t even want to meet him…
Would you see it different if your 42 year old son was dating a 27 year old woman? Refuse to meet her?
