Helps tremendously imo. We don’t need as many.Way too early for a consensus but still interesting:

My question is… do less plays per game help or hurt Tennessee? I’m genuinely not sure
Well it would certainly hurt the other team as well. But, fortunately in this exciting new rebirth and energy in a stagnant sport, someone found a way to let that angry midget have his way. Back to running the ball again and clock controlWay too early for a consensus but still interesting:

More possessions helps us.I agree it should benefit us more than hurts us, just gotta keep starting fast. Less time and possessions for the opponent to catch up. Just hate that it takes real-time away from the actual sport we only get 13-14 weekends out of the year.
Yeah waste that time until you run out of it. Without Bryce Young keeping somewhat of a pace last season, the Vols win by 4 tds.Well it would certainly hurt the other team as well. “Oh damn! SmokinBob is my girl’s mom??!!” @VolunteerVandiver right now probably.
Sorry @SmokinBob - not intending to make light of your frustrations here, but I did chuckle at the two posts together. Agreed with @drvenner on this one.
Speaking of whch, I know I already posted my Byron Young days to kickoff photos, but I have to postYeah waste that time until you run out of it. Without Bryce Young keeping somewhat of a pace last season, the Vols win by 4 tds.
Also a fair point. If we can keep being the 1st quarter boiz then we shall continue to ride untethered henceforth. We seem to score at a very high clip in the 1st quarter, specifically the first couple of drives. I don't think the rule change will affect us much, but if it does, it will be ever so slightly beneficial imo.
Time of possession was always a minor inconvenience. Now we’ll have both the offense and defense yelling at the other to get the ball back.More possessions helps us.
Part of why we go fast.
We have a possession-per-possession advantage over most teams and want to maximize that. It also decreases variance/luck.
Really the only kind of game we'd want fewer possessions for both teams is if we're a sizeable underdog and want to increase variance.
Thinking of getting rid of Direct TV and switching to YouTubeTV or Hulu Live? Which one do yall like better? I'm leaning to YoutubeTV.
Brought to you by Dollar General.Speaking of whch, I know I already posted my Byron Young days to kickoff photos, but I have to post him with his Bama-win cigar.

I heard on the radio earlier today that he is the projected starter for the Rams this season. Not a Rams fan but I hope he has a great season.Speaking of whch, I know I already posted my Byron Young days to kickoff photos, but I have to post him with his Bama-win cigar.

I’m not either. However I’ll make a case for optimism. If we score really fast, does the change hurt other teams from trying to keep up?Way too early for a consensus but still interesting:

Would you see it different if your 42 year old son was dating a 27 year old woman? Refuse to meet her?Lol! He isn’t the father of the 13 year old if that’s what you’re thinking! She’s been divorced for about 8 years…she’s now calling the young fella her boyfriend and I just don’t even want to meet him…
Cool but that’s not himSpeaking of whch, I know I already posted my Byron Young days to kickoff photos, but I have to post him with his Bama-win cigar.
