Just ditched DirecTV and got Youtube TV. We're happy so far.

I do miss not being able to enter a channel number. Searching or scrolling is a pain, but once you use a channel it shows up in recent lists.

I called to cancel DirectTV and they are only going to charge me $49 a month for 3 months and $63 for a year after 3 months. That's cheaper than YoutubeTV right now. After that year, I may switch to youtubetv.
I was paying $163 a month.

So I may have missed something but is it now gonna be a thing for a football game to be over when a player gets carted off? Seems like there’s been at least 2-3 instances already in NFL preseason.

Sorry if it’s already been talked about, but the decision by Arizona State to self impose a bowl ban should make TN fans even more grateful that the leadership around campus is competent and has a spine.

I use Google (Youtube TV) and it's great. The one thing I dislike is that they erase one's saved games after a certain time. I don't recall the time limit; it's more than a year. But I lost one I wanted to rewatch.

We were paying well over $200. They tried to sweeten our deal too, but we were also dealing with a tree partially blocking my dish, causing drop out of some channels. Tree work isn't cheap, and in the end it was cheaper to go with YTTV.

It should make you angry that they would charge you that much and then be willing to accept so much less. I'll willingly pay more not to deal with companies that have no integrity...and from my perspective changing rates like that shows a lack of integrity.

Their over/under is 4.5 wins. I think this is probably pretty calculated. Get some credit for missing the bowl game they weren't going to qualify for anyway. Herm really did a number on that program.

More possessions helps us.

Part of why we go fast.

We have a possession-per-possession advantage over most teams and want to maximize that. It also decreases variance/luck.

Really the only kind of game we'd want fewer possessions for both teams is if we're a sizeable underdog and want to increase variance.

STILL my unknown related to this rule IS does it AID our tempo game by getting the ball spotted faster on those first down plays. My recollection is that the officials after whistling the play dead and waving their arms took their time getting back to the new spot inside the hashes if necessary, looking to see if the linesman was at new LOS and restarting the clock before stepping away to allow snap. Eliminating two clock actions should get the ball ready faster since they can’t play the dead ball card. Run the ball back to the middle of the field and hand it to the spotter

If true it will offset some of the clock loss at the same time. Bet our staff is going to expedite them with the hurry up windmill actions like CJH got penalized for last year once. On top of that it will make fast subs by defense harder with NO clock stoppage since all they have to do is spot the ball and get outta there like every other play.

Technically, didn't Tennessee do this in 2020? I seem to recall they were invited to one and refused.

I thought Tennessee's leadership was quick and decisive, and quite clever in how they executed this...
