He's a dummy. He claimed that the other muscles got built up as a result of being used, to some extent, during bicep workouts. . . you don't have to target other specific muscle groups other than biceps. I'm not sure where he learned this or how he ever thought it is true.

If this is the lineup, glad to know there’s no one better than Burrell and Hadden on that one side. Lol

Interesting that Pearce is ahead of Josephs now, maybe that crying during the off-season helped him

Wasn't crying that helped him it was development and hard work. He was a 5 star out of high school.

I think the Tennessee Virginia game is sold out now All 69,143 seats. Going to be a Big Orange takeover
Something doesn't quite seem right here. I have been tracking tickets over the last few weeks on Ticketmaster and up until late last week there were decent contiguous blocks of both resale tickets and regular tickets available across the stadium. I would have guessed a few thousand resale and a few thousand regular tickets. Now all of the regular tickets are gone but the cheaper resale tickets look largely the same.

I'm guessing they pulled a bunch of tickets that are going to make their way onto the resale market.

Why have I not heard this before now.
So I walked into the team meeting on Monday and I had a cigar in my pocket," continued Heupel. "I pulled it out when we started talking about Alabama and said listen, we've ordered these cigars, we got a couple for everybody inside of this room, we expect to have a long night smoking a cigar. Just creating an expectation for that week."

This is weird , I tried to upload a gif and this is what came up lol

Important to note

Tony Muskett, UVA's QB has player one FBS opponent (MTSU in 21') and the 15,000 in attendance that day was the largest crowd he has ever faced

Nissan ain't Neyland, but it can still get loud in there.

I could see our defense, with the crowd making things very difficult for him right out of the gate.
Nice! Give me more news like this.

The offensive line has been a weak point for Virginia each of the past couple years, and for the second straight offseason the Cavaliers saw multiple starters depart – and even offensive line coach Garett Tujague is left for NC State.

Left tackle Logan Taylor, left guard John Paul Flores, right guard Derek Devine, and right tackle Jonathan Leech combined for 33 starts in 39 appearances last year and all four have departed.

The staff did bring in some fresh faces via the transfer portal with Jimmy Christ joining from Penn State, Ugonna Nnanna from Houston, and Brian Stevens from Dayton. Nnanna seems likely to start out at right tackle while Stevens could play guard or center and Christ remains sidelined due to injury and could miss week one.

Ty Furnish is expected to retain his starting center spot while Noah Josey and McKale Boley could make the left side of Virginia’s offensive line all returning players.

It’s hard to really know how the new pieces will fit in with the returners and how they will all perform when they take the field next week. But with a new quarterback under center and a running game that has struggled the past couple years, the offensive line play is going to be critical to this team’s fortunes this year.

One of the biggest concerns for UVA heading into this season is the inexperience of the offensive line. Two straight offseasons of multiple departures among the starters, as well as that of offensive line coach Garett Tujague, leaves the group in a land of uncertainty. New position coach Terry Heffernan doesn’t get an easy start to his Virginia career with this matchup.

Multiple offseason arrivals are likely to start against Tennessee while the few returners are not all that experienced. Ugonna Nnanna, Brian Stevens, and Jimmy Christ all joined the Cavaliers this offseason and have competed for starting jobs this fall, but it remains to be seen how well they can gel with the returners who they could possibly start alongside.

Presumptive starting center Ty Furnish is the most experienced of the returners having started nine of ten games last season. Guard Noah Josey – who played in nine games last season, starting five of them – and tackle McKale Boley – who played in six, starting two – are both returners who could start as well.

So, while there is the uncertainty with how UVA’s offensive line will work together, that isn’t the only consideration in looking ahead at how they will deal with Tennessee’s defensive line. That is, the Vols front produced 2.25 sacks per game last year, the fifth most in the SEC, meaning they will be a formidable opponent for Heffernan’s group.

The Vols did lose Byron Young, a First Team All-SEC selection, to the NFL along with fellow starters Da’Jon Terry and LaTrell Bumphus. The trio combined for 30 starts in 39 appearances and Young led the team with seven sacks.

However, starting defensive tackle Omari Thomas, who contributed two sacks while starting all 13 games, as well as backup edge Roman Harrison, who added three sacks, are both returning to lead the Vols defensive line. In fact, Harrison set career highs last year in tackles (39), tackles for loss (7), sacks (3), and quarterback hurries (5) and is now set for a big sixth year in Knoxville.

Plus, defensive tackles Kurott Garland and Bryson Eason and defensive end Tyler Baron, all of whom made a start last season, are back as well. Not to mention, the Vols have some young, talented defensive lineman that could make an impact this season including sophomores Joshua Josephs and James Pearce Jr., both of whom were top-200 recruits according to 247Sports.

In other words, the loss of Young and company is significant, but the Vols are set up for success again this fall and the Hoos will have their hands full. After allowing 3.4 sacks per game a year ago, the Virginia offensive line needs to be better if they want to protect quarterback Tony Muskett from the Vols dangerous pass rush.

The Vols return their top two rushers from a year ago, Jaylen Wright and Jabari Small, who each rushed for over 700 yards and 10-plus touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers struggled against the run last year even as the defense overall was fairly solid. In fact, while the Hoos finished in the top half of the ACC for total yards against, they conceded the fifth most rushing yards per game (153.2) in the conference.

Now, Virginia does return its top five defensive lineman from a year ago – although Chico Bennett Jr. could miss week one – so hopefully for the Hoos their immense experience will help them limit the danger Wright and Small pose from the Tennessee backfield.
