If it's too good to be true.... Dang I got caught up in a scammer (at least I think they're a scammer). I found a listing on Mercari (used stuff) and the price was def. too good but I figured it was likely either 'hot' or some random just getting rid of stuff. At any rate, I'm talking to them and all is going well. They're like 'you got zelle? can afford it?' and I'm thinking it's a little weird they're messaging me so much but ok. Then they're like "I'm at Fedex now and shipping it" and suddenly showing me pics of their fedex store. And I'm like "hold up, how do you want to make sure I don't rip you off and you don't rip me off?" because at this point they're acting like they're shipping it right this instant and I've yet to pay them.

And I bring up, 'hey you want me to purchase the listing on mercari?' and they're like 'no, last time my stuff got damaged and mercari doesn't cover it so I don't use them... yaddda yadda..."

So I've yet to respond. I doubt I will because I can't see how this isn't a scam. Zelle is great but it doesn't offer fraud protection and the way they want to do this seems sketchy af. Am I overreacting?

Don't Zelle!! That is for people you know and trust

Paypal has safeguards against getting ripped off. Def do not Zelle someone you do not know

I get the sad’s everytime I visit volnation now. I look at my notifications and they have been reset. All my notification hoarding was all for naught. time to start over and contribute to the lagging of the site

Looks delicious. I grill a lot, smoke stuff often. I only have charcoal for both, but gonna get either a gas, or pellet smoker soon. I want to do brisket, and need something I can control the temperature better.

Looks delicious. I grill a lot, smoke stuff often. I only have charcoal for both, but gonna get either a gas, or pellet smoker soon. I want to do brisket, and need something I can control the temperature better.

I'm really enjoying my pellet smoker. It's pricey though, you'll go through $10-15 of pellets smoking a brisket if they're good pellets.

I'm really enjoying my pellet smoker. It's pricey though, you'll go through $10-15 of pellets smoking a brisket if they're good pellets.

I've had several friends recommend a pellet smoker. Mine does great with Boston butt, ribs, and chicken, but you have to take a brisket out to add charcoal to mine, just doesn't last long enough.

Well spotted. Yes, he was a better hitter from the right side. And maybe that’s what you would want him to do hitting #2 in front of Ruth & Gehrig.

He hit almost 400 HR from the left side, and it’s from the left side that we get the legendary tales of 600 ft bombs.

This is my current homemade smoker. My neighbor, a Tennessee fan, has a professional setup in his back yard, he's retired military. We were talking one day, and he wanted to show me his stuff. I didn't currently have a smoker, and he showed me this and said he'd make me a deal on it. He said if I'd take it home, then I could have it. Guy wouldn't let me pay him anything, and it's been great. No way I'm getting rid of it, just gonna add another.
