Just sad to see a young man with so much talent throw it all away just to rob a friggin’ liquor store. So many high school kids across the country desperately wish they had Arik Gilbert’s talent.

Seeing as his career in Lincoln is probably over, his best hope to play at the FBS level now is that Deion is willing to take a chance on him. Maybe some FCS is still willing to take a chance, but that’s no guarantee either.

Hopefully all the talented kids living on the fence see Arik Gilbert’s situation and take the steps to turn their lives around. Take advantage of the gifts you’re blessed with.

No doubt. I was going through trends l teams in my head and the Giants were who I thought would be closest.

Looks delicious. I grill a lot, smoke stuff often. I only have charcoal for both, but gonna get either a gas, or pellet smoker soon. I want to do brisket, and need something I can control the temperature better.

I bought a pellet a few months back. Love it! As close to set it and forget it as you can get.

This is my current homemade smoker. My neighbor, a Tennessee fan, has a professional setup in his back yard, he's retired military. We were talking one day, and he wanted to show me his stuff. I didn't currently have a smoker, and he showed me this and said he'd make me a deal on it. He said if I'd take it home, then I could have it. Guy wouldn't let me pay him anything, and it's been great. No way I'm getting rid of it, just gonna add another.View attachment 573748

I've been using the competition blend pellets from Pit Boss. Are about $15 for 40lbs at Academy. @butchna turned me onto them. Work well for me and last a long time. Bought the pitmaster blend when they were out of them and they are good too for the same price.

The only problem with pellet grills is you don't get as heavy a smoke flavor as with true smoking unless you have super good pellets. The pit boss ones didn't give the food any smoke flavor at all when I used them. Lumberjack is the only one I've found (I'm sure there are others though) to give close to real smoking flavor. Hard to find though.
