Well you know @BaldBiker , @InVOLuntary , and @VolsDoc81TX will be watching. Though I doubt they consider him very "golden". He's probably a young whippersnapper compared to them. The biggest thing I don't understand is a large portion of the commercials are for their own shows... I'm not sure how much overlap they are expecting with SEC viewership for the "Golden Bachelor".
All college football fans should boycott a high profile, large market game in protest. Bama/Texas would be a good one. More football less commercialsThey could charge more for the commercials. That would solve it.
If the commercials aren't worth more, they are paying too much, with no one to blame but themselves. They shouldn't be able to recoup their error at the expense of the defenseless viewer.
I’m not sure I’d ever be fine with the amount of commercials. I was struggling with them last year. This year is brutal and I can’t watch a game without feeling pretty disgusted about what has happened. A few people have gotten filthy rich while basically ruining the product for the masses and wasting our lives with endless commercials. I can refuse to watch, but it won’t do anything. I guess this has been coming for decades, as they slowly stripped away tradition and regionality for money, but this feels like a huge shocking step. The sport relies on the fans, but we are basically the only ones who don’t get a say in how the sport is changing. I obviously think it’s an unacceptable change, but I wonder if enough other people actually care enough to make an impact.
OMG...okIt works together…. If our offense plays fast but gives the ball back fast over and over again…. The defense will break down….. Also…. If a standard front is shutting down our running game then they are also probably pressuring our qb making it more difficult to hit those deep throws… There were a couple throws that we missed in the Georgia but they were still tighter windows than a lot of our other deep throws during the season…. Winning the LOS is key to our season.
I can't imagine it won't affect TV ratings. The casual fan won't stop to watch if every time they flip to the channel it's in commercial. I guess we'll have to see the ratings after a few weeks and compare to last year.I’m not sure I’d ever be fine with the amount of commercials. I was struggling with them last year. What the hell are you arguing with me about? I have said all f'n day that big plays are always going to be at a premium against great defenses. It works together…. Close game last year they used there timeouts. I'm going guess it will cut at least 10 to 15 plays a game on average. probably 10 to 15 more commercials2022 plays in LSU / FSU game 136 total
2023 plays in LSU/ FSU game 130 total..
Not much of a difference between last season and this season.... Only one game example but it's a start...
Instead of washing Saban's car for 3 years, Butch needed to spend that time on a shrink's couch. He has issues. Dude learned absolutely NOTHING from his miserable failure in 2016 and 2017 at Tennessee. He's repeating the exact same mistakes. It's pathological at this point. It's perfectly understandable. Between what we saw over the course of his tenure here, and much of what's come out about the locker room after he left, he apparently has an odd combination of narcissistic low self esteem that makes him a horrible leader. He's a marketing hype man that doesn't build anything that's worthy of hype.
It's a pitiful commentary on your leadership when your player is more mindful of the need for a team leader, on the sideline, than you are.
The truly cringe thing is that S Carolina's guy is giving those same vibes. Massive attention to hype and sizzle, putting a crappy, unprepared product on the field, while eschewing personal accountability and making excuses. Heck, it was the hot dogs' fault! And that chain gang was really the only thing to be disappointed about tonight... lol
Lol'd at that one. I think I'd have to be strapped down in a padded room to watch that crap. The biggest thing I don't understand is a large portion of the commercials are for their own shows... I'm not sure how much overlap they are expecting with SEC viewership for the "Golden Bachelor".
