So if that's accurate, and the punter is on scholarship, that's 83. 82 if the punter isn't on scholarship. Probably some more guys will hit the portal, though.
Pretty dang good. Some positions are just ridiculous. Would still like another stud LB and DB, but man looks pretty good overall. Hard to complain, especially how this staff develops and schemes.

9-3 way too early prediction with THAT roster. 10 win total season looks very reachable.

Why is the Birmingham office giving us our open date again next year after our first SEC game? GA and AL get theirs after 4 and 5 SEC games when players can use a break. That seems much more advantageous.

Correction: Devo reminds me that it will be after our second SEC game.

It's really not bad when you look at the whole schedule. It's after both Florida and USCjr...and right before this 3 game stretch:

TAMU
Bama
UK

Ultimately, with playoff expansion, we need 2 weeks off. This seems obvious. Expand the season...more weekends of football. Add a little rest.

85 scholarship limit and we know they want to add a WR and OT. They're also looking at a couple of DL currently, so they must know some more guys plan on leaving. Probably need to add another TE as well. Doubtful we go after another LB because of numbers (but I agree another one would be nice). Hopefully we consider a CB if one they like enters the portal. I'm assuming they must not like the CBs currently available.

I don’t want to hear a single talent argument from anyone if our secondary struggles again next year. If they aren’t taking portal help, then they think we have the talent to have a good secondary.
I'm not against taking portal help if there is someone out there the staff feels would be an upgrade and would fit the culture etc. But remember, those clamoring for a #1 lockdown corner from the portal may be dissappointed. 90+% of those in the portal are there for a reason. I trust this staff to know what they need now and again after spring practice.

Goodfellas
Goodfellas
Goodfellas

And The Departed is great...GREAT...but Mafioso > Mob every time. They are more interesting in their structure, guidelines, and vast history into Sicily. Jmo. Goodfellas is still a better movie regardless though. Both have excellent structure and climaxes though...shoot I might even give The Departed the better climax. And you're welcome Glitch.
Goodfellas is one of the grestest American films ever made. The Departed is very good.

AP saying we aren't likely to add another LB, AP saying we aren't likely to get help from the portal in the secondary... what the heck is going on? Defense and those two position groups in particular are our biggest need right now... We aren't going to have quite as high powered offense as we did this year to lean on, so we sure as heck need to upgrade the defense... I sure hope he doesn't know what he's talking about...
Someone should let Huepel know. I heard he’s been too busy winning Orange Bowls to be paying attention to the portal.

I’ve never seen it. It might need to go on my off season, winter list to watch. Don’t post random gifs of how I’m a dumba$$. Leave that to @InVOLuntary and @Glitch. They love to point out when anyone of us stumble. You know, old men pleasures 😒.

I think the line play and the linebacker play were pretty decent most of the year. Yes, everyone on defense was bad for that one game, but overall, I think those guys did good. I don't feel the same can be said of the secondary. So now we're looking at freshmen to come in and fix it. I guess we'll see.
It's January. Check back in August.

Question for Doc, even though I know he won't see it for a couple days.

2 days ago I noticed something with my left eye. At first I thought I had a small hair caught in it, that's what it seems like. Mainly in the peripheral, doesn't show up in the dark.

I'm literally freaking out! Eyesight is just something I took for granted. Does this sound like beginning of glaucoma?

If you have any thoughts please let me know asap..
