Isnt the question of McVay leaving due to him, not LA firing him? I think he almost stepped away after they won the SB.If Sean McVay gets let go or they just part ways with the Rams, the Titans would do well to talk with him and start over. He will be a hot commodity for several HC jobs I would imagine. Once you're a HC and win in the NFL you tend to just get recycled.
He’s not better than Tannehill. Tannehill was injured this year, and the Titans had crap backing him up. That was one of several major problems this year. Another issue is that your wide receiver corp wouldn’t even be considered good if they were playing for the Vols. The Titans roster is in need of a tear down and long rebuild. Your GM’s over the years have significantly eroded the talent base.Didn’t say he was “good” but he’s better than what Tennessee has trotted on the field this year. He’d be a decent stop gap for a year
You’re fine. Titans have been hit with terrible injury luck the last 2 seasons. Combined with first round draft misses and you get a bunch of close losses and a fired GM. Arthur Smith ran the Mike Shanahan run first offense here in 2019 (10th/32) in scoring as well as 2020 (4th/32) in scoring. Need to get someone that can call some plays. Doesn’t have to move away from being physical up front. Just someone that can layer the calls effectively enough like what Arthur didI wasn't thinking about getting rid of Vrabel I was thinking OC, my bad . My thinking and typing don't usually mesh.

I credit Mike with the offense… people forget he came before Kyle. Lol. Zone run ground based system that’s took over the NFL basicallyYou’re fine. I’d take Mayfield in a nanosecond over Tannehill next year……not that I want that to happen. I’d love to find a way to get Jimmy G.He’s not better than Tannehill. Tannehill is road garbage. Mayfield is the house variety. He’s not better than Tannehill. Tannehill was injured this year, and the Titans had crap backing him up. You want to bring in a QB that, at his best, has proved to be a middle of the pack QB in the NFL (and that’s being VERY charitable), and put him on a roster that would be the least talented he’s been on yet. Good luck with that. You’ll never get a franchise QB following that path.I’d take Mayfield in a nanosecond over Tannehill next year……not that I want that to happen. I’d love to find a way to get Jimmy G.
Your right, what we have now just ain't cutting it. I heard Downing is gone in the off season anyway. Tannyhill tried to do too much and take too many chances in coverage when Henry was hurt and just has never got over it in how he plays now as compared to a couple of years ago. The OL has got to be rebuilt and they need to get somebody that is on the same page as Vrabel on drafting and roster moves. Robinson tried to get players that had either been hurt or about two years past their prime in free agency and it just never worked out. Maybe things will change with a new GM.You’re fine.
