“He’s one of those guys where it’s like, Oregon really would have liked to have him on the team next season. And, at the same time, you’re kind of like, ‘He really didn’t do much at Oregon his first two seasons.’

“But you know, whether it was going to be at Oregon or whether it was going to be at wherever, his third or fourth year, he could explode and people are going to be like, ‘Whoa, wow. Why didn’t he do this at Oregon? He wasn’t very good.’

“Some guys just take a couple years to figure it out. And, toward the end of his sophomore year, it looked like he had kind of figured things out.”

“He had a case of the drops. If he eliminates the drops — and some of that’s just repetition-type stuff. I fully think that, knowing his skill set, the growth he made from Year One to Year Two, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a guy that, if someone makes, like, an all-transfer All-American team or whatever at the end of 2023, wouldn’t be surprised if he is on some of those or is discussed in some of those teams.

“I don’t know if he’s going to be the best transfer receiver in the country. But he’ll put up good numbers, I think, next season, as long as he’s got a solid quarterback and an offense that’s willing to sling it downfield.”

“Early on in the season, you kind of got the vibes of (him being) a little down,” “He was a little pouty — went on social media a couple times and said some stuff. One game, I don’t even think he played in one game early in the season. Had cases of the drops. It was very evident early in the season he didn’t have the playbook down, and that was limiting his impact.

“He’s just extremely high-potential. He was just raw when he showed up, which is fine. But some kids have it in their minds that they’ve got to be a superstar guy, like, Day One.”

“He’s got really good speed. I think last year and this year, a couple times they gave him some screens, and he just kind of hit another stride and it was like, ‘Whoa, that was impressive.’

I hope that Hyatt can talk to him, give him the blueprint. Similar stories.

Honestly not trolling, were there a bunch of upsets in CBB? Last I saw we were 8th. I don't think just a win against MSST will jump us that far.

Texas got beat by Kansas State, UConn has lost 2 in a row. But Saturday is a big day of games so they might be projecting some upsets.

Kentucky at 7 Bama
3 Kansas at West Virginia

And both 2 Houston & 1 Purdue play road games on Sunday.

No. Mentioned last night that NPF was solid in his rookie campaign but he doesn't have it locked down. NPF actually played better at LT in college and was more highly graded as a LT prospect than RT. If you draft Darnell Wright you can move NPF to the LT spot. Then you still have Dillon Radunz to battle for a spot on the line, or as a solid backup. Ben Jones at C, Nate Davis at RG (assuming they return and are healthy). Aaron Brewer is the starting LG but can plat backup C. Radunz played a lot of LG this year after Brewer moved over.

If they like NPF at RT for the future and there's a top 10 LT on the board then you go that route.

I think he could have a similar path to Jameson Williams. A top WR recruit who went to Ohio State but for some reason was not productive. Transfers to Alabama and pops off and gets himself drafted.

Some talented players just need a change of scenery.

Did nobody see what this team did to clemson with the same starting offense that’ll be here next year? Missing hooker, Tillman and Hyatt can’t be an excuse for these guys. We looked good without them. Our defense will be much improved next year too

Yep hard to resist bumming one when I see someone put in a dip. Fell off the wagon after 5 years and went back to dipping for about a month. Went to put one in and had to ask myself if I really enjoyed it and I don't and it feels nasty. Certain activities just kick the urge up for me, mostly fishing and golfing.

My uncle dips Red Seal fine cut, which is what I mostly dipped. Anytime he gets the can out, I stand real close to him so I could smell the wintergreen. That's the only flavor that still gets me. The smell of cigarette/cigar smoke, flavored dip, and especially Copenhagen make me sick.

*My dad quit dipping 5 years before I did. I keep telling him to let me know the day he starts back because I sure would like to have another dip of RS fine cut, wintergreen.

The last sentence is the route they will go imo. Radunz will be out at least half the year tearing his ACL so late in season. Jones will retire I feel like, moving Brewer to C. He just isn’t starter material at LG.

Just don’t see where Darnell fits into plans which is why I responded to begin with

The offense will be good but honestly I’ll take a step back on offense if it means we will be nasty on defense. We are gonna be good.

Not like I said it was common place or anything.

I just get the vibe from Vrabel that he'd rather spend the money for building his team in other areas. But could be that was Jon more than Vrabel, not sure. We'll see this off-season though.

But since 2018 when Vrabel took over Malik Willis at the end of round 3 last year is the highest taken QB so far. But moved Mariota, and was willing to take chances with Gabbert & Tannehill in free agency.
