Isn’t that the same time as Velus Jones at the Combine? Why is it less believable?

Because a teenager hasn't come close to peak athleticism.

And history suggests the self proclaimed times of teenagers are usually generous. Not impossible, but improbable that a teenager could run a 4.27 laser time.

The only game that was a fluke this year was a loss. I believe in this coaching staff, and they have some crazy athletes to work with. I’ll take those odds all day.

Might be because we play 4 teams that are listed with odds to win…. Including the top two. We should be better on D I think and O will be equal or maybe hair of a step back.

This one isn't far. It was an honest question. Outside or TN and sometimes SEC games I don't watch a ton of CBB

I'm surprised a bit they jumped 'em to 5th. But beating Mississippi State & South Carolina both by 30+ was a pretty big statement.

We'd be ahead of Alabama, but they are one of the few teams that played a better OOC than us. Also they've got 2 wins over (at the time) number 1 teams neither of which was a home game. UNC however has fallen off so less impressive today than when they beat them. They went 3-2 against top 20 teams in their OOC (lost to UConn and Gonzaga both on neutral courts). We went 2-1 against our 3 top 25 OOC opponents and the loss was at Arizona (we got hosed a bit cause of officiating). But we have a bad loss against Colorado 2nd game of the season.

I sincerely hope the defense we see next year is the one we saw in the Clemson game. Or better.

Yeah...I don't get it. Losing Hooker is their main argument for a drop-off and Klubnik at Clemson is a reason they have high expectations next season. They got a preview of 2023 Tennessee and Clemson and Tennessee was clearly the better team. They're guessing that these other teams will be really good and I think the Vols have somewhat already proven it.

4.27 in the 40. I'm sure he's incredibly fast, but let's just say that 40-time is dubious at best.

That 10.74 100m is what should matter. You don't get a truly accurate 40-time from anyone until they run it at the combine.

You're adding that part....not a single college player runs a laser timed 40 until they do it at the NFL combine. Even pro-days are hand timed (which is what that 4.27 in HS would have been).

You're adding that part....not a single college player runs a laser timed 40 until they do it at the NFL combine. Even pro-days are hand timed (which is what that 4.27 in HS would have been).

There are plenty of places you can get a laser time. Heck I did it for fun in my 20s at a local training facility and I'm a nobody.

The point wasn't about the availability of laser timing, it was about how hand times are more generous than lasers.

I haven't had any of those specific ones, but did try the Bourbon & Spire awhile back. Wasn't for me, but I'm also not huge on finished bourbons in general. The thing these have going for them is they are MGP (so at the very least the base bourbon should be of a decent quality) and they won't break the bank so to speak at $40-$50 MSRP.
