Rant justifiedMy grandma started and operated a meat and three for over twenty years. She was there every morning by 4:30 making biscuits, slicing bacon and sausage, cutting country ham, cooking etc, etc. by 7 am she was slicing potatoes, cooking green beans, cabbage, squash etc for the lunch crowd, She generally closed at 8 pm and the last hour she was cleaning, mopping etc. She literally did work herself to death when she suddenly suffered a massive stroke that killed her. Her only son, my uncle, built and ran a gas and convenience store for over twenty years. Neither of them madw very much money after all the overhead and expenses of doing business.
I did a lot of work in both from the time I was 13 til I turned almost 16 when I wasn't in a hay field or a tobacco patch. For the past 20+ years I have spent the better part of this time working in supervision and Ops Mgmt in a variety of industries includind warehousing and distribution.
This is strictly my opinion but far too high of a percentage of young people today think they are too good to do much of anything requiring any manual labor and are just too damn lazy with no work ethic to begin with. Don't know how many times I have hired someone who worked a day or two and then quit, with many of them saying " that job is too hard" or "I didn't expect it to be like that."
In some cases us parents are to blame but I also think cell phones and social media have played a role as well. Many so-called workers today can't keep their hands nor eyes off the damn phones long enough to do an honest day's work.

That's a good one. I also recommend checking for broken noses and cauliflower ear. Oddly enough these rules have prevented the other person escalating with me, because I have both. Which is good, because I am not certain I'd ever win a fistfight and I was not confident in those situationsMy motto in life has always been, if a man's neck is non existent or larger than his head, don't fight him because you can't knock him out. Also, if his hands are the size of concrete blocks it won't end well either.
So far in life it's worked to my advantage. You are free to use this info and save yourself a lot of embarrassment.

Can we just reduce it to the simplicity that, despite the physical characteristics of other drivers, road rage and challenging people to square off in the street is stupid...?
Yah. I just don't understand the chase-down road rage thing, most especially in carry states. You're liable to get shot these days. Blow your horn, flip them off and move about your way.
Lmfao beautifulI would venture to guess that Dr. King would have been firmly in the moran only portion of the diagram.

Yeah the blue chip ratio of a roster is pretty crucial to national championship hopes. Only 10-15 teams truly have a reasonable chance. Even then it’s an uphill battle with Bama, Georgia and Ohio State going even further than previously with 80%+ Blue chip roster.Tbf we were technically at a 46 or 47% BCR iirc. Granted, it was a complete and utter lie considering all of those bluechip 2019 guys left...but alas the official BCR calculation is extremely rough and dirty, on purpose, and yet still undefeated.
I only remember that because the guy that created the BCR once predicted that, eventually, some team would break the undefeated BCR streak. And this team would have a few traits 1) elite QB play, 2) high 40s BCR and 3) some good luck...or destiny if you will.
I was astounded how we seemed to fit that mold, or I really wanted us to at least haha. We didn't have any special luck after all. But otherwise we really fit the kind of team that would do it. TCU showed exactly why even a really lucky team with an elite QB will fall short with such a massive talent gap once they faced UGA...no chance.
Jmo but we could still easily be "that team" the next year or two. After that I predict we'll officially join the ~10-15 team "BCR CLUB" for the first time ever. That's wild, really, when you think about it. These last 15 years, since the BCR has been around, have been pretty damn pathetic. Heupel is the blessing we deserved.
When I graduated from UT, I enrolled in grad school in Memphis and took night classes so I could work during the day. I was a pre-loader with UPS from 4:30-8 and worked in QC for a medical device company from 9-5. Classes were Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9. I did this for 3 years until I got my MS in engineering. Pretty sure I was the only college graduate loading trucks, but I needed the money. One of my kids once told me he would be embarrassed to work in retail while in college as I did in high school and undergrad. After I initially laughed and then got mad, we had a good conversation about work ethic and responsibility. My grandma started and operated a meat and three for over twenty years. Squaring off in general (over small things vs strangers) is sadly animalistic and pathetic. Can we just reduce it to the simplicity that, despite the physical characteristics of other drivers, road rage and challenging people to square off in the street is stupid...?
there was a road rage event on the southern end of Metro-Nashville Davidson County the other day where a car stopped short and the car behind rear ended them.
