Hmm. I just disagree about this year. FAU is in the Final Four - they are clearly a quality team by every possible measure (i.e., we got a tough draw). But even worse, we didn’t have ZZ. I see ZZ in particular as a really bad break. He was missed on both offense and defense. Finally, that was only the 9th Sweet 16 in program history. All told, a very quality showing.

I’m just really not sure where the negativity is coming from.

Getting a 9 seed instead of Purdue was not a tough draw. FAU is a great team and their record shows that. We were clearly the better team on the court though and we found a way to lose. Rick even did his signature move of calling a timeout 5 game minutes too late into a run. Also thought Awaka's lack of minutes in a game where we were getting killed on the boards was a bit of a sore spot.

I hate to jinx with early hype, but I think Milton is going to be a generational type player next year. He will be the first highlight shown every Sunday morning.
