Question: Given the fact that somebody gets hurt every year, where would one season ending injury hurt us the most?
Obviously we are thin on the line, but I'm curious what the rest of you think.
What would he play right away? He's smaller than E.Moseley.....
Maybe he could go on the E. Moseley 18 pds in 20 days pack on the pounds plan. Or so was reported on here.
The kid is listed at 5'9 175. Of course I have no clue how accurate that is. As I am sure most are well aware we have had many a CB at UT that size.
Man, we just have so many freshmen this year who could easily have Cam Sutton/Marquez North-like impacts.
Hurd, Malone, Bates, Kelly, Gaulden, Hendrix, Barnett, Sawyers, Moseley, Wharton, Berry twins, etc.
My bold prediction is that this freshman class is going to overachieve significantly to the point that by the end of the season, the team will effectively be theirs.
Remember that Bama's most talented players in 2008 (the year they won 12 regular season games and returned to national prominence) were freshmen. Obviously Shula had recruited better up to that point than Dooley did for us, but still. Tennessee's 2014 class and Bama's 2008 class are fairly close in overall talent levels, and I think ours will have the impact on the team as theirs did six years ago.
Dont know about vulnerable, because we do have options, but I'd like to see the qb we start with go all the way.
Moseley isn't even big enough for real. And now you're talking about adding 20 pounds during the football season????? And his busy is supposed to adjust easy too right?
You're the guy that said AJ Bransiel was a better take than Stacey Ciley at WR too though.![]()
Elsewhere, the Vols continue to look to add another defensive end, or two depending on the right combination, a defensive tackle, presumably Tuttle, an offensive lineman, a linebacker and possibly Jefferson at the wideout spot.
For those asking how the numbers are going to work it should be remembered that at some point last year Dominique Booth, Eric Lauderdale, Kameel Jackson, Kevin Mouhon, Lawrence Lee, Cory Thomas and Jerome Dews were all commitments and no one even thought of guys like Jashon Robertson and Michael Sawyers as being part of the class.
The numbers will work out, they always do. The fun part is watching everything unfold.
