"The Vols may be adidas and toeing the company line there for one more year, but they're very deep in moving forward with the new Nike deal. New logos and designs for apparel already are progressing into mock-up stages and prototype clothing options."

"Multiple sources have told us that Tennessee not only will potentially seek some Jordan-brand and Lebron James-line NIke gear in basketball but specifically in football when the switch is made. It definitely is a topic of discussion among Vols and Nike officials."

Awesome. I love the Jordan football cleats. I'm sure recruits would too.

Ok to hopefully get off the jinx train, here's another discussion question, as we still wait out the off-season:

In order, which newcomers will get the most playing time/snaps?

My list:

Thomas
Moseley
Wolf
McDowell (or TKJr - whichever has the best fall practice, I feel like it will be Cortez)
Pearson
Hurd
Malone
Helm
Williams (juco)
Bates

Pfort followed up to this and said we are trying to become the first official Jordan branded football program.

Would be kinda sick.

For me, I would like to see Nike do their own version of the Smokey Grey's and maybe another alternate. As for the helmet, I would like to see some throwback helmets with the interlock UT logo or the old skinny power T.

This has nothing to do with the uniforms, but I would also like to see them do the interlock UT logo at midfield every once in awhile with the old school checkerboard endzones.....like when we beat the jorts of UF back in 1990.

Can't do the interlock anymore. Pretty sure some idiot sold the rights to the dirt orange school.

Lived two miles from there my senior year! "Romantic " and Mennonite community aren't usually associated with each other. :wink2:

Quiet and peacefull.

The Mennonite community is ok but that cabin is secluded. No cell phone service, no cable or satalite reception, just you and her in a really cool place.

ps...got a 4 y/o so the place can be dangerous. :whistling:

So are those cabins near the lake side or the cemetery side?

Wife just called to let me know the season tickets came today. Starts to really feel like football season when those arrive!

I think we sold the interlocked UT to the steers and queeers a few yrs ago.

From what I've heard, we own the rights to the east of the Mississippi River and in LSU territory. Everything west went to utjr. However, we just never use it anymore.

You can buy stuff in bookstore with interlocking logo on it so we must have some rights to use.
