After myself being late on the draw and generally sucking with the "all time bad" OT news, is anyone else worried about the OL's future?

There isn't much depth there and I'm worried about at least one of the tackle spots.

Should we be taking another lineman with Richmond, if he commits?

We've got Chance Hall too. But yeah I'm not at all opposed to loading up the offensive line as much as possible.

I thought we took Chance Hall because we liked him as an OT.

Is it just me or is "Brick" kind of a terrible nickname for a kicker? If you are unaware of the whole Butch Jones connection to the word it just sounds like he misses a lot.

@sportney_lyle: Justin Hunter got into a scuffle.. It drew a big chunk of the team over but broke up not long after it started

Probably with Bernard Pollard. Good for Justin

Watching the UGA game from last year. Getting ready to go into halftime. Couple thoughts....

Defensively, our secondary was really out classed in that game. Cam has played great. Has been in on 3-4 breakups. Coleman and Toney have gotten burned for TDs. Even though Coleman had good coverage on his.

Offense is steady. Several nice plays by Pig. Not many "splash" plays. Not having Lane available for this game hurt.

@JFowlerCBS: There's a new early signing period committee forming, and I'm told it's aiming for Sept. meeting to take stock of entire recruiting process

That second half though...

I watched the game last night and that is what really stuck out to me. If we can get some decent corner play across from Cam this season then it will go a long way towards improving our defense.

Also a pass rush, any pass rush would help too. I really hope Maggitt and Vereen punish some QB's this year.

I think pretty much any place there is a new player playing they will be better than who was there last year.

A healthy Maggitt and Vereen with a year of experience is far better than anyone we had rushing the passer last year. If the newcomers can provide solid depth then we should be much better at end this year.

Would be huge. Would definitely change the game with early enrollees.

Hope they move quickly. Would really be nice if we could get some of our current commits inked up (nice insurance, in case our "historically bad" OL torpedoes the season).

I'm all for an early signing period, with a loophole for a coach's departure or firing between that time and NSD.

Take some pressure off of the coaches who are 24/7, especially in the season when they could benefit from more time for game prep.
