Will be back in time to pick six Worley in the red zone on a potential UT game winning drive.

Naw....Hurd gonna be runnin' over VH3 on his way to the end zone to clinch the win.

No way we put the game in the hands of the QBs.

It's the running game or bust this year.

I think most SEC schools will be in the same situation this year.

QB play not as good as hoped, so they depend on their run game. The east has a lot of talent at the RB position.

I was on team ferg just cause of the strong arm...

But the fact that he jetted so quickly pretty well answers any question about if he'd be winning the battle.

I think the scrimmage on Saturday is going to give a better picture on where we are at with the QB's. So far I have seen the information we have gotten on live portions of practice, all seem to have come in situations designed for the QB to fail: two minute offense, 3rd and fourth downs, Red Zone offense. Those scenarios aren't conducive for 75% completion rates and multiple touchdowns. You also got to factor in that Peterman is going against the 3's, while Worley is going against the 1's. Do I wish the numbers were flipped? Of course I do, but if Worley was throwing touchdowns left and right against the D, we would be complaining about how horrible the D is. Maybe there is some hope there.

As for practice footage, I am glad to see the coaches challenging the QB's with harder throws. It seemed like last year all we saw from practice footage were comeback's and go routes. Now were seeing deep in routes, posts, etc. Do I wish the quarterbacks looked a lot better in the footage? Of course, but again its practice 6, and they have time to get better.

If you expected them to look like Bray or Crompton then you might have been expecting a little too much. If Worley can consistently play like he did against Georgia and South Carolina all of the year, I think we have a great shot at 7-8 wins. Wouldn't surprise me to see the scrimmage stats from Saturday showing Worley with about a 60% completion rate and a couple of touchdowns, and maybe a pick or two.

And it's only about 23-24 days till the first game. No time to improve.

I get that argument but Worleys been in the program for four years. Absolutely no reason an SEC QB should be struggling AGAINST AIR. In fall camp.

I really doubt something will happen within 23 days that will magically make Worley good enough to drastically improve the offense.

Why? He was just as bad and wildly more inconsistent than everyone else.

I still don't know where all the "Riley Ferguson is the answer" hype came from

Why? Because even with all that he still had a chance to start.

Also my comment was pure humor. You guys are clearly devoid of any.

Which reminds me.

If he hasn't done it in four years, He's not gonna learn how to go through his progressions in 23 days. Won't learn how to be more accurate in 23 days. Won't learn how to release the ball quicker in 23 days.

My point is we know what we have with Worley. A below average QB.

Wrong angle. He won't improve anything none of them are built for that. Manage it. That's what we are hoping for here.

Y'all keep saying they are throwing against air, yet air doesn't get picks, defenses do. So which is it, air or defense? Maybe our QBs are just having to recalibrate for a proper defense. This may be actually be good news.

Buford, the school that claims six state championships over the past seven seasons, is moving up to Class AAAA this season, but it’s more than obvious from GHSF Daily’s preseason all-state team that the Wolves will not be unarmed in the higher classification.

Six Buford players made the list, and none would be called a sleeper. DL Quay Picou (Tennessee), OL Nick Polino (North Carolina), LB Austin Smith (Tennessee) and PK Matt Bonadies (UAB) have committed to Division I schools. LB/RB Joshua Thomas, perhaps the team’s best all-around player last season, a 1,000-yard rusher who made all-state as a linebacker, is the No. 62 consensus prospect in Georgia. TE/DL Isaac Nauta is the No. 3 consensus recruit among juniors.

They're doing both. People are talking about the QBs spraying balls all over the field in passing drills with no defense. All you have to do is watch the practice videos to see it.

So funny how this board hated Bray but now see the dropoff after him. I still blame the dumbest coaching staff in UT history for his failure as a starter. He produced under those dummies....

He was still a headcase. I blame the defense (Sunseri) though for a lot of wasted talent.
