Anyone else notice our team seems to cause a lot of injuries to the other team? I haven't seen a really dirty one in recent memory but seems like there are a lot of accidents. Most memorably lattimore and driskel

Do you think will start him on senior day? Let him hand the ball off a time or two then take him out so the crowd can give him a standing ovation.

Worley deserves it.

Your post reminded me of the King of the Hill episode where the kid on Arlen High got hurt, then they let him get a touch because he was a senior.

Apparently out for season. Surgery scheduled. Medical Redshirt (though going to be hard to get) being persued.

VN needs to show that true VFL Bigtime love!

Life isn't fair and I for one appreciate the hell out of JW and all he gave us and what he went thru!

Hats off to JW and wishing a quick recovery!

@3HL1045: . @Volquest_Rivals is reporting TN QB Justin Worley will have season ending shoulder surgery this week.

Look, the VolNation prairie dog. Back in your hole now boy...

Here are some stills of this block. Definately a huge play that doesn't go on the stat line. Hurd's blocking has gotten so much better since the first game this year. He has become a vital part of this offense.

I think it's safe to say, Hurd is the ultimate cock blocker.

Well said Bruin. He got hit more than the clown car at the demolition derby.

Best of luck Justin. You gave a lot for this program. Hope you're successful in whatever path you choose. :hi:

Some quotes taken from Twitter.

@Vol_Football: Maggitt: I feel more explosive. I have dropped five pounds since season started.

@Vol_Football: Maggitt: Dobbs is like a wet noodle. He's hard to catch.

@Vol_Football: JONES: our overall depth is a major concerns. We had individuals who played 93 snaps, that's where we are in our program.

@Vol_Football: JONES: We will force feed Derrell Scott this week. He's just now getting into a rhythm.

@Vol_Football: JONES: Contrary to reports Josh Smith will not undergo surgery. We are still evaluating him.

@Volquest_Rob: Jones mentions Mixon, L. Lewis, D. Scott as three guys who need to step up to help with depth in three games following open week

@Vol_Football: JONES: @YoungDevrin is no where near ready. He's still healing.

@Vol_Football: DOBBS: getting extra practices, a bowl game, extra practices. That was our goal coming into the season.

It'd likely go to Miss St - Vandy (if they're still #1 or highly ranked) or a ranked Ole Miss playing Arkansas.

CBS pretty much views Missouri as a ratings black hole and playing a (if we beat UK) 5-5 UT team isn't going to be enough to sway their interests. UT's more of a draw to viewers, yes, but not enough of one - with that kind of record - to balance that out.

CBS just wants/cares about eyeballs above all else; they'll go with the ranked teams.

I wouldn't be surprised either way. But Mizzou would be playing for the East, and we will be playing for a bowl. It's an intriguing matchup.

Since I totally failed with the Leonard Little picture that I've seen a lot. I decided to look up Vol history. We should start a trivia thread. I'll throw out a fun question. Who was Johnny Majors' QB during his first year coaching at UT?

IIRC, I think it was Pat Ryan...not guaranteeing I'm right here though

I actually really like this idea, Burger. Maybe a stickied thread so it won't get lost? I'd love to learn a lot more history of UT, and I believe this would be a fun, interactive way of doing it.

You're taxing my memory but my guess is Jimmy Streater.
