Ready for next series of Butch quotes.

- we’re undefeated when Will McBride completes over 12% of his passes

- First Tennessee team to ever win with holograms starting in the OL

- I don’t know if many teams who could manage 24 points on only 210 yards of offense

- Tennessee averaged a point for every 8.75 yards gained.

- Trevor Daniel continues to be near the top of the NCAA in punt attempts

The weight room has been a joke for three years. It’s really lathargic. A lot of going through the motions. I’ve said for the last 3 years... we don’t even look like alabama physically.

I can tell you personally from being on the sidelines since Fulmers last year... this is the least “physically imposing” team I have ever seen by far.

It is noticeable . Butch did these kids a disservice. What kind of college coach doesn't want his team to hit the weights hard? Selfishly he should want as many players as possible to play at the next level let alone be in top shape to win ballgames .

Gaulden has such an incredible nose for the ball. I bet you could throw a quarter into the ocean in a hurricane, and he'd pull it out before it hit bottom.

If Gruden is in the bag you fire Butch at 8 am tomorrow and announce Gruden at noon.

I just don’t understand why we can’t announce that Butch and TN will part ways at the end of the season. That way everyone knows 100% that it’s a final decision (although we know he’s not coming back). I told Involuntary last night that I’m fully convinced that Butch is a better option than an interim. The guys who are left are still playing hard for him, although at the rate we are going, we may not be able to field 22 starting scholarship players.

I think the motivation is to be able to avoid all questions. If they announce Butch isn't coming back then they have to answer questions about the search process. The only way they can go about this without any questions is if they keep trotting their human shield out there on Mondays and Wednesdays. They are making him earn his buyout. It's actually the smart move.

So weird, that we are 3 plays away from 7-2 right now

Florida Hail Mary

Johnson incompletion to end USC game

Warrior INT drop at Kentucky

Yup. I think about that a lot. Shouldn’t have come down to those 3 plays though and football has a funny way of working itself out.

As bad as this team is we would be 7-2 with just a decent offense.

Right, I’ve never argued that point, just simple facts... coaching debacles and injuries aside... this same team is 3 routine player executions away from 7-2

And the biggest beat down by Georgia ever. This is a bad team, if we get a good coach then maybe all this works out for the best. (and Butch can go to a place which is a less of a pressure cooker)

You should text that to Coach Jones. He can use it at his next press conference.

You are what your record says you are. We were one play away from losing to GT, and (if memory serves) one or two plays away from losing to UMass.

7-2...4-5...2-7. It is what it is.

Go Vols.

You guys can drop the obsession with negativity narrative. We all get it. We all know we stink and everything else that could be said has been said 200 times

I’m just bringing up a simple fact on the subtle swings a game can take

Good point on Florida though

Not negativity, facts. And if it sounded like a shot across your bow (it did), for that I apologize. I am beyond fed up with the Butch apologists (which you are clearly not), and those who are dancing with butterflies under the "Rainbow of What-If?" (which again, you are clearly not).

UT Football...this team...Team 121...in Year 5 of Coach Jones' at the helm, has surrendered record yards, record points, and stands on the brink of record losses, ever...say that word "ever" again...by a UT Football team. In 121 years of Tennessee football, this may stand as one of the worst. Ever.

I have heard every imaginable excuse that CBJ's imagination or delusion could offer up. I have heard explanations, excuses, and head-scratching monologues by a man who is clearly in way over his head, and not half the coach that he thinks he is. And I have watched a proud UT Football program, team, and fan base slowly come apart at the seams. I'm sick of it.

He can't be gone fast enough. I look forward to the day when the stink he has enveloped this program in is finally washed away by a coach who gets it, and knows how to win games. If I want to hear a wandering, pointless speech by an empty head, I'll turn on C-Span.

Sorry...time for my meds.

Go Vols.

I get concerned about their health when all they do is complain and twist things to the negatively naturally.
