Is Richmond a bust, or could a good OL coach make a good OL out of him?

I posted this early on with Richmond: I went to school with a guy who coaches a high level high school football here in Memphis. His team scrimmaged Richmond and MUS in his senior year. He told me then that Richmond had a lot of raw talent but thought he was better suited as a guard. I am beginning to think he was right on the money. May also have to do with attitude.

I saw him on campus about 18 months ago and thought he had a dad bod. I remember thinking "if that dude doesn't hit the weights hard he is gonna get destroyed in SEC play."

Hopefully that all gets resolved with the next regime. Seems like there is talent in the OL, even though it's our worst unit.

It is absurd. And embarrassing. Again, the 2% fringe of this fanbase making us look bad.

Kress army strikes again.

My question is this: what do they want people to do?

On Sunday, all we heard from the media was "UT is terrible. Fans should be livid. Why are they standing for this?"

So some people say, "well, maybe we shouldn't show up."

So what does the media say? "What a disgrace! How dare you do that to the players?"

And ucf and usf. And fau lol

Don't laugh too hard...there's some truth there.

The UCFs, USFs, FAUs, etc, may not have too many players who might start at UF, FSU or Miami, but they've darn sure put a big time hit on the depth chart of the big 3 schools. Many of the kids starting for UCF & USF would be key contributors at UF, FSU and Miami.

Yeah. Regardless, I suspect that the effects of empty Neyland will be minimal.

After everything that has recently transpired, you are embarrassed because fans don't think it is worth paying a lot of money to go see the Butch Jones crap show? I can name a grocery list of things that I find muchmore embarrassing.

LOL at anybody who thinks the players want to get embarrassed in front of 100 thousand people.

Taggart has about odds as Randy Shannon keeping the job. WT is respected in the coaching ranks but he had a losing record and he rubbed a lot of the High School coaches in Tampa the wrong way how he left South Florida. this is basically the new Rooney Rule for State schools in Florida about attracting minority candidates for head coaching job.

HG, you may have already have said so I apologize in advance. Who do you think UF will get and who do you hope they get?

Butch was asked today if he thinks Currie supports him, he said yes again. But was asked if he thinks he'll be retained and he dodged the question

#emptyneyland is embarrassing.

Reminds me of the planned student walkout a few weeks ago. Except this millennial temper tantrum that never had a chance of actually happening made it to a national sports show.

I'm more embarrassed about losing to Kentucky for only the 2nd time in my lifetime. Maybe just me though.

Memphis Sports Radio (92.9 FM) just did a bit -

"Things that will happen... before Butch Jones is Fired."
