The media DID crap all over Alabama when they fired little Shula and were looking for a coach. They didn’t give Shula enough time. Unrealistic expectations (cowheard I remember making a big deal specifically) Especially when it was suspected that Rich Rod was going there until suddenly he wasn’t. Rumor was he rejected Bama. They were no longer relevant. They were never a national brand. They were living in the past and can’t keep up with with programs like USC, tOSU, Texas, Florida etc.

Then they hired Saban.

Then ALL that was forgotten in year 2.
