Last game was Nov 26 during that 2011 season. Urban was announced on Nov 29,2011. That whole season with interim Luke Fickell was a sham anyway. Just an end around to allow Meyer to get out of his Florida contract. But still announced 3 days after the last regular season game.

May just be Larry's way of wording it....but If it's just gonna be something for Gruden to try his hand at, I'd personally rather have someone like Patterson, Petersen, or Mullen.

And I may be in the minority but I think I would rather have one of them , or at least Patterson or Peterson, more than the Grude anyways. But the Grumoring is still fun. Ha.

I always knew Bama would be back when they found the right coach....I just didn't see dominance of this level happening. You have to give it to them, they were sick of it and went all in, not just in hiring Saban. They created a monolithic machine down there.

My guess is that Brice will "officially" report that Tennessee has offered Gruden the $10.2 million/year. He won't break the news that Gruden has accepted, IMO.

If UT let that "officially" be reported, then it's already agreed to. They wouldn't set themselves for that public of a rejection.

Good guess. What does Brice have to lose at this point? He’s contributing to Tony’s blog right beside a guy in a luchadore mask.

Brice is a rogue agent right now. Not employed as a reporter. If he gets confirmation from enough sources, he's free to post it.

I know it’s a different state (and an uncomfortable example), but Art and Kendall Briles were a pretty good team.
