That’s awesome man! Which is your favorite? Best one I’ve ever played is Scottsdale.

That is a tough question. I love old course with History like Royal County Downs. Its around 130 yrs old right on the water coast and man those pot hole bunkers ate me up! I stayed in the New Castle Hotel that is right next to the course. I played Sawgrass before the new clubhouse and changes to the course but it was so challenging when playing from the tips the pros play. My friends insisted on me getting the real experience. Shot 114 ! LOL It was rough for a weekend warrior. The second 18 we played that day we move to the Blue tees and I did some better low 90's and on most course I am a 80 - 85 and occasionally high 70's. I'm getting older now. lol

I saw it posted a few hours but never confirmation. Did Brohm officially remove his name from consideration?

Miles was/is a better coach than Fulmer. HOT TAKE.

Ill take that lap now.

You know, I don't think Fulmer was a bad coach. Maybe not the absolute best, but pretty good. Where he slipped badly was in recruiting - not him, but his staff. He ultimately lost his job because of Jimmys and Joes.

If he was re-hired, and put together a staff that was world-class in recruiting, who knows, maybe he could catch fire once again.

I do still think that if Doeren gets the job, he's suddenly going to look like Nick Saban on the recruiting trail. And it will be because the Haslams will make sure he has everything he needs, bag men and all.

That's an easy and very inexpensive way to drum up fan interest, especially when you're facing unprecedented apathy and restlessness. Who knows. The guy might actually turn out to be capable of developing that talent unlike Butch.

Nope. These "boosters" on here you see venting. They work in the luggage Dept and it's closed.

They don't want to destroy the program. They want status quo.

CBJ could recruit because he was probably getting help. Those resources likely dried up when they decided it was time to churn and burn him. That's why the classes suddenly got a lot worse. It's interesting that the classes got worse as the results on the field improved. We had our best years recruiting during Butch's first spring/summer and after a year with no bowl game.

It's the exact same situation right now. The roster has atrophied, and Doeren will be able to sell immediate playing time and his bag men will close the deal. Plus, Doeren actually has a history of putting guys in the NFL. Butch doesn't. I wouldn't be surprised if Doeren recruits better than Butch.

Alternate theory: everybody was on board and energy around the program was positive at the beginning. Turned negative. Recruiting suffered.

It was said yesterday that we would hear something sometime before lunch. That time is fastly approaching.

Really starting to think something is up to this Haslam trying to stick it to the fans. Who in their right mind thinks Dave Doeren is going to be anything more than a 6 or 7 win coach in this league? I might add, whoever blew that Brohm deal up yesterday needs to be slapped. Little doubt in my mind that we'll end up regretting that. I just hope they're actually doing the sensible thing and waiting a week for his buyout to drop. I doubt that's the case though. We need to revolt.

Your average is about where I’m at. And I did the same thing at Scottsdale. It’s impossible to understand how GOOD the pros are.

That’s cool though. I hope to get to play some courses over my life like you’ve gotten to.

I was talking about the Tennessee coaching search. Fans, media, etc know Doeren is not the answer. And there are multiple other candidates that would be tons better. Yet they're pressing ahead with this fiasco.

I was just saying not every other school is doing their searches perfectly. None are close to our level of incompetence though.
