I wasn't around for the 2012 Gruden thread. I kinda got sucked in this time. Learned a lesson. A lot more info here and discussion.

I did the same. I lurked when major news happened for a long time and Grumors 2012 is when I lurked consistently. I finally made an account and started posting last season and after one month of the FF I found the RF and it was a breath of fresh air. Never looked back.

Yup, Atlanta Vol is a really good guy. Boro and DTO weren’t your typical trolls as they seemed like okay guys. I just don’t believe for one second they actually knew anything.

They are on the boosters side against Haslam trying to make the Gruden thing look like it was going to happen.

I think they know some people that are connected with Boosters not named Haslam. From what Atlanta_Vol said Monday, the Schiano stuff floored them and was in route to knoxville with other boosters. By "them" I figured he meant any booster not named Haslam.

Yeah, but Clay Travis is a bullhorn. You get him onto the Haslam scent and he's got a billion twitter followers retweeting. It'll be picked up by legit media in no time.

The 2012 edition was a goofy, fun affair. Never bought in that Gruden was coming then either, but it had lots of laughs.

Im sure that’s the thought, and maybe they do get a small nugget here and there, but I think they guess more than they know. JMO. Never had a problem with them or called them out in the Gruden thread but just formed my own opinions on them while reading their posts.

Tell them that in the Currie era, if a big decision is obvious, popular with the fans and makes a lot of sense for the program, it will not be made.

I can't wrap my head around this. After Dooley and Butch I was thinking they just missed. But then they try Schiano.
Now as much as I hate Bama, why would any BOT or boosters not want that same setup in Knoxville? You get a good coach. Win alot of games. Season tickets up 300%. Ticket sales up 300%. TV exposure up 300%. Merchandise sales up 300%. Knoxville economy up 300%.


I mean what am I missing here guys, can anybody explain it to me?

We may be witnessing control-freak billionaires throwing a tantrum cause they didn't get their way.

Or, perhaps they've somehow assembled several of the most incompetent administrators in the industry.

Hopefully, this is a concerted effort to shake things up inside UT athletics from the top down. This would be our Christmas Miracle.
