They didn't withdraw it. They couldn't come to terms and Brohm backed away.

Doeren is garbage. He is a garbage hire, no better than Butch. We should not rationalize or accept a garbage hire.

You’re right. We shouldn’t even give him a chance if he’s hired. Just tell all the players to transfer and recruits to go elsewhere. That will really show ‘em.

Maybe if we’re cruel enough and obnoxious enough, we can even make Doeren turn us down so we can hire Kevin Steele. Even better.

I think they were screwing with Haslam. Because Hyams said the President blocked it and Clay said Bev blocked it. Then Bev and Joe got flooded with negative feedback about it and they had to release a statement saying the President never got the MOU to sign. Then we find out it never got that far and never met face to face.

Actually Alabama had this same exact problem with Bryant jr until some other boosters struck a deal with Saban and pushed Bryant Jr's hands out of the Athletic decisions. It's pretty easy to find with a good Google search.
ADs at power 5 schools just don't hire head coaches anymore boosters do. And unfortunately we have one that's stubborn and thinks he is always the smartest guy In the room. I honestly think Haslam wants the University to have to depend on his pockets. He is a control freak.

No he isn't. But when some of the influence has to do with construction on campus well then that's a bit different

Steele should get a look before Doeren. If we're gonna hire someone we'll be hiring 3-4 years from now, why not bring in one of our own instead of some bumblef*** Butch clone?

They are, and it is embarrassing and counterproductive. Seriously. How is that going to help? Is VolTwitter supposed to do this to 10 more people until we finally offer Tee? Is that the goal? It’s just stupid. And it looks awful.

Because Steele won 20% of his games as a head coach and Doeren took his G5 team to the Orange Bowl before improving NC state and having several winning seasons there.

Should be the goal. Tee is the only man for this job right now. I’m not sold that anyone else could unite this fan base

One Bill is actually the head of the Board of Trustees at TN being our governor and the other Big Jim is a former player captain of 51 and our largest booster. The other Jimmy owns the Brown's.

Tee has proven nothing to show he is the man for this job. If Fulmer and others (other than Swain and Stallworth and Big Al) thought he was the guy for the job, he’d be getting more traction.
