FFS, how dumb would Currie have to be to use Gruden or Petersen as smokescreens? Unless you got Patterson or Harbaugh, people would be so let down they'd be ready to jump down Currie's throat.

That is what I am saying, none of this makes sense unless you get a A+ hire. all else causes disappointment. I am hopeful and truly believe Currie has everything taken care of. Dude is in the Bahamas right now after all.

Agreed. Would need to surround himself with a staff that has recruiting connections to the south. But at this point, we just need a football coach. We haven’t had one since Fulmer. He’ll win because that’s what he does. Winning attracts recruits. Then he would win more.

Winning fixes everything when it comes to recruiting. Petersen is a winner.

If you don't think Foster and Robinson are future pro bowlers, no one can help you with your current level of insanity. And OJ Howard has pro-bowl written all over him also. I'd say go grab a beer and chill out but I doubt you're old enough.

OJ Howard is a scrub. Foster is injury prone. And Robinson is average.

The best Alabama players from the 2017 draft are Eddie Jackson and Marlon Humphrey. They are the ones with pro bowl potential. The rest are scrubs.

I think the most important thing for the next HC for us is a great staff. Gruden, Petersen, Patterson whomever, is going to have to assemble a great staff. Especially Gruden. Where he has been out of coaching so long.

I think Petersen or Patterson would have us winning or at least very competitive in the East in 2-3 years.

I don't get the infatuation with Petersen. His Washington teams have been mediocre.

If not Gruden, I would take Scott Frost over him. More potential.

He’s never coached in a recruiting hotbed. He’s got access to CA out there, but he would do fine here
