I know a poster in here (cough involuntary cough) who mentioned Petersen has a connection to Blackburn, and Blackburn has said Petersen had interest with prior openings. I think if Blackburn was AD, he felt he had a good chance to land him. If this happens, I’m wondering if the Blackburn involvement as being part of the staff is legit, but it’s on Petersen’s staff, not Gruden’s.

Let me preface this: if it’s Petersen, let’s ride, because that would be a grand slam, bottom of the ninth with 2 strikes and 2 outs.

However, does anyone think this might be one last curveball and smokescreen to get us to the announcement of Gruden? I’m sure there are people in the AD, who know LWS and know he posts on message boards. He has admitted that. What if one of his connections asked to please post this about Petersen, because they need one last diversion to get to the announcement? A Petersen diversion will give them at least 2-3 day’s, which gets us to Sat or Sun. All the smoke is on Petersen, announcement is made that a press conference is set for Sunday or Monday, then boom, out trots Currie and his white whale, Gruden.

Either way, both are white whale hires.

Convince me of Petersen. What would make him a great hire here? Not saying he wouldn’t but I haven’t kept up with anything he’s done

128-28, won a bcs bowl at Boise. Turned Washington from a PAC doormat to playoff contender in just a few years. Known as a great coach and gets the most out of his talent.

I’d be perfectly fine with Petersen, Patterson, Mullen, and Frost all being part of Grudens staff. Throw in Dale Jones, Jim Bob Cooter, Casey Clausen, Tee Martin, keep CRG and we should be all set. :wink:

Petersen >> Gruden

Seems more far fetched than Gruden to me though. But I’d love it!!!

I don't actually worry about his nonsense anymore, I just responded because of the group of posters perpetuating the same agenda.

2 of my nephews are black and I have the pleasure of spending a great deal of time with them. They assist me almost anytime I need help, despite their youthful and busy lives.
They believe in real equality. Which means they hate a group of victims and protesters running around pointing fingers and signs everytime someone says something questionable.

Nah, they wanted to be treated the exact same as me when I get insulted or questioned. To them equality actually means equal, not special. Crazy, I know.

Preds are 8-2 in November. Tbh they are the only team I've cared about for 2 months. Forsberg is on pace for about 40 freakin goals and Arvy for 30. Our power play is ridiculous. I got so much pred pride built up I wanna spew it out!!

P.s. JJ will forever be in my heart

P.P.s I have no reason to spare much attention to vols till first game next season

I'm starting to want Petersen over Gruden. Living in Oklahoma in '07 makes me keep thinking of that Fiesta Bowl game.

It's one thing to have a hook and lateral in your back pocket. But to go for two and call a Statue of Liberty to win the game!? There's no 4th down chart that would call that!
