If he can figure out how to get this team to finish games, we could make a run in the tournament. Frustrating though, last year and and in this game we dominate the first half and end up losing.

Last year was youth. This team is still learning how to win. Williams, Bowden, Bone, Turner, and Fulk are all sophomores. Daniel played in a smaller league. Schofield and Alexander are juniors but haven't consistently played.

Yesterday was a big step with guys being clutch down the stretch.

The roster isn't good. Recruiting is tougher. I'm not saying a coach can't be successful here but my point is that the turnaround is going to take longer than many believe.

Roster is not bad and recruiting "toughness" is overblown.

we have a large amount of players out for the year. Who you saw play last week is not the lineup that is inherited.

You think Florida is easy to recruit when the entire country has a focus on it with three major programs instate?

Ok if they didn’t, then why do we need the homerun proven coach?

You're arguing over a one year sample. Let's wait to see if this success is sustained beyond having a top 5 pick QB. It's not unusual for a mediocre coach to come in and have success with a talented team. Especially if that talent is in the right positions.

Edit: and yes, I realize he's been the coach there for two years, but people are specifically bringing up this year's 10-2 record.
