I agree. If we can’t hire an elite coach this time around with everything we are throwing at it, it’s time to suck up our pride and do it.

Imagine if Auburn switched to the East (Mizzou to the west) and Auburn had the albatross of having to beat Bama twice to win an SEC title. And we picked up Arkansas as a rival, while UGA grabbed TAMU.

Our job would look like gold. Easiest path to an SEC title in the conference, all things considered.

He was 92-12 at Boise. You can say what you want about whether home run hire applies but when you compile that record along with 2 BCS bowl game berths I don’t think you can say he’s an up and comer. Especially can’t compare him to Frost and Campbell having less than 5 years HC experience between the 2 of them.
