Because I believe our admin is just a bunch of pathetic losers forcing crap on us,and expecting the same treatment from them again until they prove me wrong, does not mean I have accepted that treatment as our right place in the CFB hierarchy. In fact after years of me being patient and understanding, this year has hardened me. I am calling crap what it is from now on.

Anti-Mullens keep saying how we deserve a top coach and how we're still a top 10/5 program/job. Yet keep comparing our program to Msu. It's one or the other, you can't have it both ways and argue both sides to fit your narrative

Look, I love the Vols, but since we won the East in 2007, we've finished with a winning conference record one time. We've had at least 7 conference losses 3 times in 7 seasons. We've missed bowl games 5 times and has a losing record 6 times.

That's not mediocrity. That's just bad. Mediocrity is 7-5, 8-4. I want Tennessee to make a monster hire and get us to greatness, but monster hires are incredibly rare, and I just don't want to spend the next few years being miserable because we ONLY landed Mullen or someone of that caliber.

We've been a bad football team. I just don't think Tennessee is too good for a lot of these coaches being mentioned.

Nope. After last years collapse at the end I clearly said this preseason win the east or bust this fall. I would have wanted Butch gone at 8-4 or even 9-3. 5 years was plenty of time and he didn’t get it done. Adios.

What facts are those? That he's done well at Mississippi State? No one has ever contested that.

The fact that that success means he's a fit at Tennessee, and that success will translate at an incremental rate here? Can you provide a source for this fact?

I wouldn't compare the programs. I have stated before that you truly have to look at Mullen's record. It's got some fluff in it. I am not going to rehash it. We would be solid with Mullen- just not sure how many East titles we would get.

Little personality might garner a few 4 stars and highly recruited 3 stars. The ones UTC don’t want. :)

I'm not saying it's the right place. I'm saying it's where we are *now.*

I agree with you that Tennessee deserves better -- SO much better. But the fans aren't the ones in charge. The incompetent administration is. That's why we aren't even mediocre.

Just curious, do you know how many times Mullen has had a winning conference record in 9 years?

What were Butch Jones' classes ranked nationally at CMU and Cincy? Did he even have any ranked in the top 30? Weird how he can come here and have a top 5 and a top 10... Figured he recruit similar as years past, right?

Dooley and Butch both were a$$holes and crappy coaches and found a way to get good players in here. Anyone can recruit here.

It's all opinions. But if CBJ can leverage UT's resources to produce Top 15 recruiting classes Mullen can too. If CBJ can win 9 games 2 years in a row then Mullen can get to 10-11.
