It's also been disproven plenty of times. That's because the intricacies of each job are different.

You're trying to assign words like "narrative" but my only "narrative" is that success at jobs is not linear.

Yes. He also said that interviews will take place in places that aren't obvious. So if they interview somebody in Chicago, it doesn't mean they are interviewing somebody from the north.

After all these reports of this coach and that coach interested and now it’s Mullen or Schiano or Leach etc...Currie is going to look like a superhero genius when he introduces Gruden.

Currie needs to be the one making the call. That's been one of the biggest problems we've had up there since Dickey left. Boosters controlling the AD. Bob Woodruff and Dickey were always open to suggestions but at the end of the day they called the shots because that's what they were hired to do.

He's 2-2 when they weren't at their best. Keep in mind that Butch had a two game winning streak against GA and beat Florida, should have beaten them a couple of other times. I don't think Mullen is terrible, I just think it's a very in the box, safe hire.

Oh good. I was expecting hutch to chime in and say the plane will also be flying to North Carolina, where they will dig up Reggie White and have zombie Reggie stand behind Gruden.

By the time this is all over, we're going to be so happy to have a coach that we're going to jump up and down irrespective of who it actually is.

People in the South hate Penn State because of that. I mean, many people do in the North as well, but it's especially true in the South. Negative recruiting would be crazy.

And you can be sure that the Tennessean and other local media would write stories about it. Then those stories would get picked up by the national media, and it would circle back with a new investigation or someone digging up dirt on Schiano conclusively linking him to the scandal.

Look at what's happening in Hollywood. Claims often aren't taken seriously until the climate is "right." An all-out media smear campaign against Schiano would ignite the fire and someone would come forward and ruin him.

Hubbs said from the beginning Mullen is the only sure thing interview wise. We're clearly interviewing him/have interviewed him this weekend.

Campbell seems to be fading & hopefully the Schiano stuff yesterday wasn't legit. Feel like we have our guy.
