Time for VN to quit worshipping Jon Gruden too. Dude is overrated as it gets and just loved them attention.

Won't happen. A few years down the road, when Schiano is on the hot seat, Boro, DTO, and yet another iteration of VolReporter/Beaver will start this crap again.

And a bunch of morons will fall for it, hook, line, sinker.

Tenn just continues to make bad decision after bad decision. Very poor leadership that will cost them some money.

I mostly don't have concerns football wise. I think he's better at coaching football than Mullen. What concerns me football wise is that he's expected to coach out OSUs season, and we have moved our big recruiting weekend to when he has a game.

I do have a big problem with the other stuff. Should have disqualified him.

Its not him.

Hubs basically said so. "won't sign off"

We are getting played.

Enlighten me.

If they couldn't find Currie last night,How tf they know who has signing today.

Hank, am I wrong to think that on the football field this might be a pretty good hire? Great recruiter, one of the best defensive coordinators in college football, will likely bring a top staff. I just don't know the truth with him and the Penn State stuff.

McQuery testified under oath that Schiano was a witness to a separate incident and mentioned it to McQuery but to McQuery's knowledge Schiano didn't report it. Schiano denied it.

Given McQuery was the reason the whole Sandusky thing came out he has a lot of credibility. Most of the other stuff McQuery said was true, so why would I think this is a lie?

Greg Schiano, Tom Bradley knew of Jerry Sandusky abuse at Penn State, documents show - The Washington Post

There is plenty of reason to believe that story was fabricated. However, that doesn't stop it from being brought up and attached to Shiano's name. And that alone is not good.

I've been telling you all this for months. It's all about money. They're counting on Volnation to support this turf. Until it hits them in the back pocket, it's not going to change. I would hope for all that is moral that Volnation rejects this loud and strong from the top of Rocky Top. When they lose 30000 season tickets, they might get the message.

I am not going to support this crap. They have already heard from me. I am out and will not come back if they hire him. I want Currie gone now if he even thought this was a good idea. I mean this when I say hire Lane, Briles or anyone else. Guy is associated with Penn State crap regardless if he knew or did not know. Hard to believe he didn't and guys who testified under oath that he did.

If Schiano was the best we could do, then it's time to accept that the program is well and truly dead.

As I said last night, I'll always be a Tennessean and UT will always be my alma mater, but I'm done investing time and money.

I am devastated.

Someone help me understand how this is possible. Everyone complained that the Board of Trustees don't care about football, but want a university that looks good as an institution. They want a university that looks progressive after the lawsuit disaster and settlement. So they go out and hire a coach that may have been complicit in child rape? This makes no sense from a personal relations vantage point. It will make make the university look horrible and will give us the look of being the exact thing the BOT didn't want. You could not make a worse hire unless Currie started petitioning the Pennsylvania Parole Board for Sandusky's release so he can take over.

Ian Rappeport is all in on defending the Schiano hire. But while saying “as good as a coach as TN can find” so basically jabbing our program at the same time.

The guys in the Gruden thread are like liberals after Hillary got the nomination...

GRUDEN CAN STILL COME!

BERNIE CAN STILL WIN!

Despite the fact that they spammed doubters with "gtfo", I feel sorry for most of them.

However there are a select few who are gonna hear about this.

OSU fans are as excited as we are disappointed. They want him gone. This is a nightmare.

Even if he's telling the truth about the Penn State stuff. It doesn't matter. It will get brought up in recruiting by everyone. The chips are already stacked against him here. He does not deserve this job in any capacity.

Consider me the casualist of fans if this stands.

What a loser ass hire

Pay Campbell's buyout, who freaking cares? There's no coordinators that we can take a chance on? Les Miles? Even Lane Kiffin?

Currie stand up there and talk about wanting some moral upstanding person. So, why are we scraping the bottom of the barrel?

Bass, you got a spare seat in the boat?

There is room for all of VN. Even though I've been called all season and told to get a Xanax and all of that, it has proven to be true. We are all here together now. WE have been failed by an incompetent leadership.
