People aren't just upset, they are MAD. I've talked to 15+ people and it has gotten to the point of people requesting Currie step down. And that's coming from some pretty powerful folks.

On the football field, it's a good hire IMO. But Currie has got to know you can't hire a guy with those kind of allegations out there about him.

Taggart was out there at least willing to listen. Hes 41, recruiting ace and ppl like him. But John Currie was sitting there thinking ab Greg F'n Schiano. A known slimeball who literally reminds everyone of butch jones. It doesnt get more tone deaf than this.

I had a bad feeling based on how long the AD search dragged on when Blackburn was sitting right there and seemed such an obvious decision.

Then as Jones's tenure dragged on, and then as the coaching search took its twists and turns, I wanted to believe the people who said we were handling this right, that we were going to make a great hire, were correct. But I could never quite shake the feeling that what we were seeing could just as easily be reflecting incompetence as it could be calculation.

Unfortunately, my bad feelings appear to have been confirmed. We are just as incompetent and totally lost as ever.

Currie needs to be fired and David Blackburn should be hired yesterday. One thing I know is David Blackburn wouldn't let Greg Schiano within 100 miles of the ut campus.

Haslam an easy punching bag. This is currie. Hubbs floated this name out there the day after uga. Contact was made then. Curry got a hard yes and knew he had a backup plan.

I think VOLS fans have had all they can take. We have been through years of crappy coaches, we lost to Vandy in spectacular fashio. We wanted a splash hire and we got a Child molester enabler.

I feel horrified, and I'm looking at the reactions here, on facebook and on Twitter. Even our political representatives are appalled. This is not going to be pretty.

Has to be the dumbest fool on the planet.

Here is a lesson to all of us, when a hire is being made and the place they are leaving is thrilled about it (Butch, Currie) get ready for disappointment and failure.

It doesn't matter what we say or do, the deal is done. Might as well close the recruiting forum, unless you all want to follow 2* recruit's.

Well the local media needs to completely vet this Sandusky stuff. I want the full story. I could “support” a mediocre hire and give them a chance, but this Sandusky stuff really bothers me. We need a full, ugly dig into this to see what he knew and didn’t know. Until then I withhold my support.

I’m keeping my Volnation account through the press conference then I’m out. Need to get on with my life. Too much time and emotion invested over the years to have it culminate in this.
