Sick to my stomach. Can not believe this is how this happened. Peyton Manning, Fulmer, the boosters, and state reps need to be making calls to get Currie’s ass out of Knoxville tonight. This is disgraceful. I’ll always love UT but I will not be watching or following with the same level of passion as I have previously. I hoped that Dooley and butch were the worst things could get but this is the newest low us vol fans have to be subjected to. I hope there are protests on campus about this. We are hiring a man that knew or had suspicions that children were being raped and that did nothing. I refuse to cheer for something as disgusting as that. Eff John Currie

I never want to see Jon Gruden in Orange again. I want him to shut his mouth and never mention Tennessee again. I want John Currie fires for even approaching Greg Schiano. Bring me Will Healy or Mike Houston.

I agree with inVoluntary. If this does get stopped we should all get behind whatever coach they trot out for us.

As long as they have never been accused of witnessing sexual abuse of a minor and ignoring it.

Yep. That’s our bar now.

I believe Schiano was Currie's idea. But I do believe Haslam could have been against paying Campbell's buyout.

I believe you have to trust your AD when it comes to selecting a coach. By this, I am talking about the new coach's ability to assemble a staff, recruit, coach up, and field a winning football team.

If it were not for this Penn State stuff, I would probably be pushing back at people protesting. I would be saying, "Give him a chance." Maybe Currie sees something that we don't. However, with the perception - and perhaps reality - that Schiano may have been complicit, I just fail to understand the reasoning here.

I just can't see this happening, and I hope we haven't waited too late on other targets. I am assuming we have already waited too late on Mullen.
