What's so great about Petersen? He's done nothing at the power 5 level except make a fluke run to the playoffs last year because of an embarrassingly easy schedule. And this year they lost 2 games while playing nobody once again.

I'm not seeing what is so great about him. Seems like another average Dan Mullen level hire.

Say what?

If Currie pulled Peterson, it prob would shock College Football even more than hiring Gruden. Nobody would expect it.

You have got to be kidding me. I believe every day is oppositite day with you. Keep on defying conventional wisdom, man, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then. Lol.

If it's so obvious how come no one has given me a good reason for why he's a slam dunk hire?

He went 8-6 and 7-6 his first 2 years at Washington. Last year they went 12-2 but played a god awful schedule. The only 2 legit teams they played (USC and Alabama) destroyed them. This year they lost 2 games once again while playing nobody. His teams never impressed me by being dominant even against weak competition.

I just don't see the hoopla behind him. His resume at Washington isn't very impressive.

If the hire is made Saturday then this hire is either going to be Mullen or someone completely out of left field

How’s that 11-1 season prediction and draft analysis going?

Except he has went 14-0 and 13-0 at Boise and beat okl and TCU with Stoops and Patterson in BCS games. He is a winner and have averaged 10-11 wins the last two years. Name the championships and playoff appearance that Mullen has. His record speaks for itself and fluke or not he made the playoffs. He averages over 10 wins a season can't use excuses of it was Boise State or Washington. They play who is on their schedule and they win. To say he isn't a great coach and be an awesome hire is as stupid as your Hof predictions.

Petersen would be absolutely huge. I’m still skeptical that he would leave UW, but he would absolutely be my number 1 choice.

So Ole Miss beat Mississippi State with WRs that were both in-state and Mullen couldn't get one of them right? Brown is from Starkville too and that's a problem for me. How well does he really recuit? Herman got Ed Oliver to stay at home in Houston over Power 5 schools. Mullen can't even get one high profile guy to come there after his longevity with that program.

He was 92-12 at Boise State, including two BCS bowl wins....at BOISE STATE. That included a win over a really good OK team and two undefeated seasons. From 2006-2012 he lost a grand total of 8 games. And despite your opinion, he had Washington in the playoffs last year, and even held steady with Bama for a half....and 24-7 is hardly a blowout. Imagine him getting a shot at Bama every year with SEC talent.

Petersen is about as slam dunk as it gets outside of Gruden.

Who would be better in your opinion if no Gruden? Only other semi-reasonable option is Patterson.

Just saw on Twitter that Petersen’s buyout is close to $30 million....so idk how realistic he is

My bad that’s how much it would be if Washington fired him

To be fair, Hugh was probably offering a lot more. Lol

If the announcement is Sunday I have a hard time believing it will be Gruden.
