He makes more fired than he does working. His contract is for $900k with incentives to make up to $1.2m. Or he can get fired and be guaranteed $1.2m.
Its sheer incompetence.

The only way thus gets fixed is for the Haslams to surrender. I see no way for that to happen. Because of that, UT football is pretty much finished for the foreseeable future.
I think the only way for that to happen is for the AD to implode financially. People giving up season tickets, boosters throwing in the towel. 50K in the stands weekly. Then heads will roll, and leadership from the top down will change and we can rebuild.
That's what I was saying earlier. After Sunday it's going to cost a lot of money to get out of this mess or you can kick it down the road 3-4 years.
It's amazing that was ever agreed to, especially for an Athletics Director. There are literally thousands of administrators you could hire to run a stable AD.
Like I said, if they won't buy him out, the other boosters need to leak stories every week reminding people that Currie and Haslam are inextricably linked. Make Currie's unpopularity Pilot's unpopularity. And don't let up.

If I were over there John Cuurie would be vice chancellor of athletic supporters today. He might get his $100000/month but he'd work for it. Life would be hard for him. I'd have David Blackburn or Phil over there in an office today. John Currie would be neutered.
So what experienced, winning coach with big program experience do you think is willing to come here to rebuild this program in the shape it's in, in the current environment? For not a lot of money and minimal buyout. Because UT's not likely to break the bank for lower tier guys.
First and foremost I'm not gonna comment on what religion is real and what's not. This isnt the time and the place.
With that being said, I'm gonna trust 247, and ESPN over a guy who cannot spell "moron" on a message board correctly.
dont be part of the problem....be part of the solution..you should know that.
dont pressure the AD to make a stupid hire just for times sake....
think about it....have a great day....and push for a great hire. Not just a hire to satisfy people who are upset for this short period...we need to stop and try to make a good hire for the long term...again Good day
Much as I hate it, I think you are right. We have not hit complete rock bottom yet, I dont think. It sure feels like it as a fan but its clear the administration isnt changing in a way that shows they agree weve hit rock bottom. Still business as usual for them.
I really do think we are reflective of what would have happened if Bama had failed to hire Saban.
