IF we had a competent AD we would just go offer Gundy 8 million and he would be forced to accept and this would be over. but we'll go offer him 4 million and settle for Pruitt instead.

Man I've never been this pessimistic in my life about UT football. might be time for a change in interests...

See my post before this. If not on UT's dime, which they will go deep pockets formally if not handled outside. None of us know the representations of what was said in the meetings and the parties involved. That comes into it as well. IMO it will be paid through Haslam. Schiano is his guy and he's said stuff to him that reassured him it was done IMO. There are other ways to make it right, especially with Sexton involved. Have friends that have known Sexton all of his life. Even know his derogatory nickname that he doesn't want out there.

The Volshevik Revolution opened our eyes to what’s going on behind the scenes. We always knew the Haslams had a lot of control but now we are aware of how tight their grip is. This is Haslam University. They go out of their way to ignore the fans requests. Until we hit the school in the wallet there’s never going to be any real change

So we can give Bahama John a 5 mil guaranteed contract but we can’t overpay for a good coach? Is this really that hard? Appears too many backs have to be scratched in all this.

Makes about $4.5 a year now. Couldn’t find buyout information on him.

It’s not realistic because he is a good football coach so UT naturally has no interest.

Maybe not but ESPN has now sent out a notification that UT is focusing on him. It will be another public no. All the leaks controlled the first month of public search and now all the info is out. My hope is that means the coaching search circle is now much bigger and more will have input.

If we’re going the route of not worrying about defense, then I’d rather go with Leach. Guy would be fun to watch, and doesn’t lose a wink of sleep when it comes to media scrutiny.

Gundy has used us to get a raise before. Could be doing the same now. Not saying he wouldn’t be successful, just saying he wouldn’t be as fun.

Pruitt has a lot of upside. Dude is a grinder and hard nose as hell. While i would rather have Tee and a few others. I could buy in.
