My concern with hiring Tee is that if he's not ready for this kind of job -- and there's no indication that he is -- and things subsequently go off the rails, it's going to look really awful when fans are turning on our last national championship winning quarterback. It will make us more toxic as a fanbase than we already are.

This is the thing with a Tee hire. 1998 has earned him more patience than anyone else. That means if we do hire him we as fans must get behind him and give him at least 5 years to show what he can do. He will make mistakes and we will need to give him time to work through them. Expectations with a Tee head coach should be a much longer timeline for field results.

It's been alluded to, but I don't think anyone knows for sure. I still think he'd come here for the right offer. We would have to overpay big time, though.

If there is a tiny sliver of good in this it has exposed the strangle hold that the Haslams have on this program and university in general. That doesn't need to stop. Every Tennessee resident needs to email their representative that you're tired of the backroom dealings that the Haslams are pulling and there should be zero chance that Bill Haslam ever becomes president of the university. If we don't try and keep this in the public eye, we are just the sheep that they want us to be.

A couple of boosters are saying Gundy has accepted the Ut offer. Keep in mind these same boosters a couple weeks ago were saying Mullen was Curries first choice. Not sure whats going in that ad anymore. crazy stuff

Interesting. Was talking to a guy yesterday whose father was an assistant coach years ago, including at UT. He was well before Tee but did coach high school and in the CFL at the end. He said the same thing about Tee.

Just listened to a Chris Low interview. He basically called the admin out, said there's a couple of power brokers that makes all the decisions, and coaches know that their admin has a disconnect and is not dedicated to winning.
Wish he'd name some names!
