Guy took Northern IL to the orange bowl and was 12-1 same stuff everyone seems to like Brohm for. His WKU record... Just saying

Brohm provides excitement and a gift for being an offensive guru.

Brohm took a morbid bound Purdue program to a bowl year one. What did Doreon do year one at NC State?

Doreon took what Jerry Kill had built and had 2 really good years then got out. You can argue that Brohm did the same with Taggart's WKU teams, but the difference to me is that Brohm is on the incline as far as his coaching career, Doreon seems stagnant to declining at best.

My NCST friend who is an alum is excited about UT taking him off of their hands.

This. Have to support him once hired. This is one of the biggest lessons to be learned from the Butch era, IMO.

I just have a hard time believing that talks never got far with Brohm with Hyams reporting what he did. Not only the one tweet saying he was soon to be announced but also the closing in on a deal tweet that came a good bit of time before it. Just doesn’t make any sense with what we know about Hyams. He doesn’t speculate or report exaggerated info. Something happened today and it stinks of incompetence.

Those are some samples from their thread discussing us and their coach. I will say that there were some people who didn't care if he left, but none of them mentioned an attitude problem with him.

If we don't want him because we don't think he's a good coach, fine. I just don't think we need to attack him as a person because of TB Show claiming he has an attitude problem. We don't need more bad publicity in this search.

Most likely scenario:
UT and Brohm agreed to deny "close to deal".
Saves face for UT, keeps recruits and Purdue from questioning Brohm's loyalty. Honestly that would be the smart thing on both sides.
