Hyams has a little in his background too, he was caught on tape lying about he didn't know about a fuel rebate program that was ripping off customers depending on how sophisticated they thought the customers were -- no criminal charges have been filed yet, but just wait, i hope some aggressive prosecutors who are UT fans come to the rescue

I am not convinced that Doeren is the guy at all, but you just never know. Again, Saban and Miles has very similar middling records at Mich St and Ok St, and both of those obviously really turned on the jets at an SEC power. It could happen. But even if Doeren just goes 8-4 for a few years, that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. If he has support (rather than relentless negativity) around him, I think it’s pretty easy to see at least that happening.

Kiffin is 100000% not coming here. Take that in blood. Also, Currie isn’t getting fired...would not be wise to lose 5million dollars right now. But yea totally agree. Just because it’s not exactly what you want doesn’t mean it’s automatically a bad hire.

Currie never had a fighting chance at a good to great hire. He's in the pocket of the same outfit that put UT in this shape to begin with. He's just the next in line to hire a coach that doesnt make it. Publically he's making Hammy and Hart look like freaking geniuses.

He's already moved into public enemy 1b right behind Haslem and he hasn't made the bad to indifferent hire yet. Unless he pulls off a big fish (which he can't do himself anymore) that's not gonna change.

I’m undecided. I was 100% out if it was Schiano.

I’m at least going to listen to the press conference and see a staff before I decide.

I stopped giving and buying season tickets with Dooley, but told them they could earn it back. They never did. Nothing else I can do now except not watch.

Both of those guys were wanted by big schools though. We are the only ones that want Doeren and that's because we are out options. He only made it to 8-4 once in the ACC and lost to every decent team in the skd.

Maybe they learned from the Schiano fiasco to let a candidate's name out as a trial before moving forward. I'm hoping we hear tomorrow that they've moved on from Doreen or he turned them down. I'll save my tears until the podium. Then, I'll check out completely.
