This year, I found myself apathetic, switching channels to better games this year.

I've never done this in years and years of watching my VOLS. I just can't imagine sitting through three more years of another mediocre coach. I've been a generational fan, season ticket holder and if this is happening to ME, then think how a non-dedicated fan must feel?

You know when you hear a coaches name like Drinkwitz is on staff you know that ****e ain't working out.

I haven't watched NC State a whole lot, but I think Eli Drinkwitz is an up and comer in college football. He is a Malzahn protege. He was the one that was rumored to have met with Gruden.

I didn't even want to watch the last 3 games. Haven't been that apathetic in my lifetime about any of my sports teams.

Multiple references to the maxims, commitment to physical, disciplined play, love the fans passion, blah blah blah.

He’s literally the only intriguing part of Dave Doeren. We’re not even 100% he’d come with him or get stolen either.

I am not convinced that Doeren is the guy at all, but you just never know. Again, Saban and Miles has very similar middling records at Mich St and Ok St, and both of those obviously really turned on the jets at an SEC power. It could happen. But even if Doeren just goes 8-4 for a few years, that wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. If he has support (rather than relentless negativity) around him, I think it’s pretty easy to see at least that happening.

Well John Currie needs to be hung by his balls for being such a fool. I am sick and tired of the idiotic things our "leaders" do up there. Yeah the guy has head coaching experience in a tougher conference than Morris. What's his record, John? Why does a good portion of the NC State fanbase want him ran out on a rail? Did you see the comments his AD made earlier today about him? I cannot stand this foolishness. People let's take a stand. #FireCurrie #FireHaslam

At this point they really just need to move the timeline back a bit and wait things out. See where the FSU dominoes fall and where the guys with their eyes on A&M and FSU end up.

Nobody is going to sweep in and hire Doeren out from under us. It's beyond moronic to rush to finish a deal with him.

That’s true. I’m thinking of walking away, which is a big step that way for me. Especially since all of my vacation days are already set in stone around UT’s schedule.

The only solution left is vote with your wallet. They are counting on you to keep eating the crap they're serving you. If half the season ticket holders leave it will hit them so hard that the 5 mil buyout to Currie will be pocket change. I'm not convinced the fans won't come right back.

Been saying this since I joined VN during the Dools years. It is ALL about the season ticket sales. It's their barometer for feeling the pulse of the fan base. At its worst it was heading toward 50k IIRC. Would be nice to what giving us a bottom feeder can do to their income stream and stadium reno plans.

You just can't line up behind this guy and support him. When he gets fired in two years they are going to do this again because the got 95k people to turn out to watch Dave Doeren. No one needs to go to get the message across.

I could see them waiting til about 11:30pm to announce the hire. That way most people wake up to a coach who is already signed and on his way into town.

Remember these are the same people who snuck Currie in thru the back door and tried to ram Schiano through in an eye blink.

You may be right. Honestly I'm tired of bad football. I got to at least 4 games a year. . So yeah my comment is mostly because I'm pissed and I will probably be staying home next year. Heck I'm kinda hoping Doeren is angling us for a raise. Sad times
