This year, I found myself apathetic, switching channels to better games this year.

I've never done this in years and years of watching my VOLS. I just can't imagine sitting through three more years of another mediocre coach. I've been a generational fan, season ticket holder and if this is happening to ME, then think how a non-dedicated fan must feel?

did the exact same thing, used to be a season ticket holder as well. This yr i barely knew what time the game kicked off until a couple hours before. I barely watched, found other games on, didnt attend one game, didnt buy one piece of merchandise. Just over it.

I am not an expert in that area of law, but I am fairly sure that you can't file a defamation lawsuit against someone who testifies in a court of law. That is privileged speech because the courts don't want to prohibit someone from wanting to tell the truth. Skeet should probably research those things before making those claims.

I said it earlier. If Currie and Haslam are this damn stupid then let them hire this guy. When that monstrosity of a stadium has 50-60k in it for games they will get the message.

You can tweet the guy without being disrespectful. I just tweeted that UT is a sh!tstorm right now and he needs to wait until the AD is replaced.

Well John Currie needs to be hung by his balls for being such a fool. I am sick and tired of the idiotic things our "leaders" do up there. Yeah the guy has head coaching experience in a tougher conference than Morris. What's his record, John? Why does a good portion of the NC State fanbase want him ran out on a rail? Gundy they knew would decline and Brohm accepted so they changed the offer. Self sabotage.

It's crazy. The Gundy offer was a charade. They intentionally used him knowing he would turn them down.

That Twitter account I linked is on the money. Why would you publicly offer Mike Gundy a ton of money and no one else? Gundy is a good coach but there are about 10 others you talk to if you're offering that kind of money. One of them would have accepted and we'd all be happy today.

They are determined to get a crappy coach in here.

It's going around that Norvell made a crack about already coaching at the best program in Tennessee and UT would be a big step down. Norvell has several strikes, so I doubt he's a viable option.

Per 247 NC State they added 5th year and we offered

Sharing what I've learned through sources

-NC State is offering Doeren 5 years, 3 million per year. So the fifth year has been added. State also gave $750,000 to add to pool for assistant coaches and will guarantee contracts up to three years. That's a big deal for assistants.

-hearing Tennessee is offering 4.5 million per year for five years. I'm told Tennessee AD was in Raleigh today.

-I'm told Doeren will sleep on it and decide tomorrow. I'm guessing something should come by lunch.

-my personal feeling (despite disparity in numbers I've been told) is Doeren will stay. Maybe I'm just looking at it from glass half full perspective. Bottom line- Tennessee fans don't support the hire. State fans (for the most part) want him to stay.

As always, things are fluid and will report if anything changes. I think Cory picked up on some stuff at game and will share what he's heard once he gets home from game.

Is it a god complex he has? Why wouldn’t he want an awesome and expensive coach? Are we giving him too much gravity?
