This from a guy who has said he works in department or use to and gets info. Unsure really.
I know Im not really the guy people want to hear from on here, but I want to try to make something clear. Nothing youre seeing happen is the fault of the fans who were too extreme. I work in a very, very, very chaotic place, our office is day-in and day-out the most stressful place Ive ever been in. Its not because of the demands of the job, but because we never know when the bottom is going to fall out of this thing. Well folks, the bottom fell out tonight.
The Department has been teetering on the bring of losing Faith in our leadership since July when Currie decided to lead this push for stadium renovations during a failure of a season. We had no plan, we just had a dolt in charge who wanted to continue to be the builder, regardless of how the season played out. When Currie left for the Bahamas, he lost the Athletic Department staff.
I said earlier, this thing is going to get worse before it gets better. Tonight were hiring Dave Doeren as our head football coach. This is not the worse. There will be more clarity, more leaks out from within the program, and more insight into just how backwards the last decade has been for us on Lake Loudon.
When the dust clears from this, if you are persistent, we can get our program back, but I cant stress enough how serious of an impact you are going to have to make. That would start by calling tomorrow morning, whether it be your individual reps or the main line at 656-1200 to cancel your season tickets if you are a ticket holder.
